One of the most popular poker series in the Southern Hemisphere has hit Day 2 of its Main Event with 150 players still in contention for the big $1.6m prize.

Seeing a nice uptick in attendance the 2016 Aussie Millions Main Event hit 732 players this year to make for a $7.3m AUD prize pool.

Just 80 players will get a cut of that and among those remaining plenty of big names aim to be one of them.

Leading the field is Australian Dylan Honeyman but circling in the Top 6 is Aussie poker legend James Obst.

Just below the big stacks are plenty of notables including American Samantha Abernathy, Italy's Mustapha Kanit, Germany's Phil Gruissem and 2014 Aussie Millions ME champ Ami Barer.

Joe Hachem
Don't forget about Joe.

The WPT's Tony Dunst, Polish superstar Dzmitry Urbanovich, Kitty Kuo, Stephen Chidwick, Ari Engel and Aussie icon Joe Hachem are also well stacked heading into Day 3.
