Jeans89 Soars, Ilari FIN Plummets in High Stakes

It was a tale of two Finns in the high stakes games last night as Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen cruised to $171k in profit while Ilari Sahamies lost nearly the same amount.

Kyllonen, who rocked February but crashed in March, has been steadily building momentum in April.

Last night he rattled off 810 hands of $25/$50 to $100/$200 Pot-Limit Omaha and dominated the high-profile 6-Max games.

It was no cakewalk for the young Helsinki-native as online regulars 1-ronnyr3, Fake Love 888, Zypherin and Ben86 were on hand for the biggest games.

In the end it didn’t matter as no one could stop Jeans89 from using the tables as his own personal ATM and after approximately seven hours of play he logged off PokerStars with nearly $200k in profit.

Sahamies Shellacked for $170,000

Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies had essentially the opposite experience as his countryman as he only played 450 hands but managed to lose $170k.

Sahamies played mostly the same games as Kyllonen but simply couldn’t get anything going on any of them.

Out of the five tables he played, Sahamies only picked up a profit on one of them and even that was a relatively small $31k. It wasn’t nearly enough to erase his $201k in losses.

After last night Sahamies is once again down more than $500k and simply can’t seem to dig himself out of the hole this year.

Jeans89 wasn’t the only established online pro to walk away with a profit last night, however.

Swiss PLO master Ronny “1-ronnyr3” Kaiser did just fine in the 6-Max games and walked away with $114k in profit.

Ben “Ben86” Tollerene wasn’t far behind as he picked up $89k. IFiNishfish (+$53k) and Kanu7 (+$50k) rounded out the top five biggest winners.

?uroTr@sh1 (-$118k), mikki696 (-$58k), LuckyGump (-$53k) and Zypherin (-$51k) joined Sahamies on the losing side.
