Hansen Fights Back with $236k Win on Full Tilt

High-stakes pro Gus Hansen made some progress on his seemingly insurmountable deficit on Full Tilt last night

The Great Dane dominated the FLO8 and 2-7 tables to win $236,800, according to highstakesdb.com.

Hansen crushed KPR16 and Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn heads-up for most of his profit. He then played to a draw against the red-hot Niklas “Ragen70” Heinecker at heads-up 2-7.

Hansen actually won another $50k on Tuesday so he’s in the process of recording a pretty solid week with nearly $300k in profit.

Unfortunately Hansen’s losses this year are still staggering. Hansen is down over $7 million on Full Tilt and may end the year with one of the worst records in the history of the site.

As tough a year as Hansen’s had online, Niklas “Ragen70” Heinecker has been on easily the biggest online heater of his career.

The German is currently up to $4.5 million in profit and climbing steadily. He’s separating himself from the rest of the online pack including Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom.

Heinecker may crack $5 million before 2013 is over.
