Well played

Event 2 of the second PokerListings Run-Good Challenge is over and once again we have a new face atop the payouts. The infamous Benjo absolutely ran through the field, like a hot knife through butter being applied to a croissant, taking home $600 and one week's status as ambassador to the world of poker blogger freerolls.

Tagging along with Benjo for a spot in the cash were Luckbox and Poker Shrink, taking $300 and $100 respectively. Along with the three paying spots, everyone was looking to make it deep to get a few more points toward the Grand Final.

I just squeaked into the points after playing an extremely uneventful handful of levels. With my absence in Event 1, I've got just one lonely point next to my name.

Here's how the leaderboard looks when we combine this week's results with the points accumulated in Event 1.

Poker Shrink 16 points
Amy Calistri 13 points
Luckbox 13 points
Michele Lewis 11 points
Benjo 11 points
Dan Skolovy 8 points
Change100 5 points
Spaceman 4 points
Dr. Pauly 3 points
Liz Lieu 3 points
Matt Showell 1 point

Fifteen players made it to the PokerStars felt this Saturday, logging on from across North America and, in one Frenchman's case, Europe. We were still a few players light, as apparently neither Jason Young nor Matt Stout was able to get out of bed in time.

The cards were barely in the air before we had our first elimination. Kid Dynamite was the first to go for the second week in a row. Last week it was Luckbox three-betting with 7-2 and getting rewarded with an A-2-2 flop. KD had A Q and was eliminated just a few hands into the first level.

Today he managed to get his money in much better, with pocket aces against Benjo's pocket queens with just one card to come. That one card happened to be a queen, however, and Benjo grabbed the lead that would later develop into a lock on the event.

You down with RGC?

Liz Lieu wasn't able to play in Event 1 but she made it today and managed to get her hands on some chips early, making it to seventh place before busting.

Next out as we approached the money was Change100, the RGC Series I champion. She found herself short and shoved with A 9. Luckbox had no problem making the call with pocket tens. Change100 picked up a flush draw on the turn to go with her pair outs but the river bricked and she was done.

Amy Calistri was out next which left Michele Lewis, Shrink, Luckbox and Benjo on the bubble. Benjo's stack basically guaranteed him a spot in the money, at the very least. The bubble hand started with Michele opening and Benjo min-reraising.

Lewis made the call and shoved her remaining chips on the 9-6-4 flop. Benjo called, turning over queens, which were well ahead of Michele's A-J. The board bricked and Michele was out in fourth.

Ask the Experts
Well Jesus, it looks like Benjo's making a move.

During three-handed play Benjo was in a great spot with a commanding lead over his two opponents, who were near even and relatively short. Neither Shrink nor Luckbox wanted to exit in third, which gave Benjo a big edge.

Benjo hammered away and managed to take a few chips from both players before two hands collided. Luckbox shipped from the small blind and Shrink called in the big. A Q gave Luckbox the lead against K-J and after the board improved neither hand it was down to two.

Benjo had a monster lead and it only took a few orbits for him to put the match to bed. Benjo is Week 2 champion and earns himself a top spot on the leaderboard.

Event 3 will be going down one week from today so check out all the blogs linked on this page and hit us back in seven days for a brand-new tournament and a brand-new adventure! If you're not already on the site make sure to sign up for an account and come watch the action live.
