How ACR Poker Staking Works
Table of Contents
Thanks to ACR Poker Staking Tournaments and Staking Tickets you can buy and sell action, as well as purchase tickets for a specific tournament or multiple tournaments with the same buy-in for another player. Here’s how it works.
ACR Poker Staking Tournaments: a simple tool for buying and selling action
Staking Tournaments (formerly just Staking) allows players to list and purchase tournament action. This tool was launched on ACR Poker in July 2023.

How to Sell Action via Staking Tournaments
- Register for a tournament
- Select “Sell Action” in the tournament lobby
- Set the stake size (from 1% to 90%), the markup (from 0.5), and the number of entries, then click “Register and Offer Staking”
Done. An “S” icon will appear next to your nickname in the lobby, indicating that you are selling action. Your offer will also appear along with others in the Staking — Staking Tournaments tab.
How to Buy Action via Staking Tournaments

Open Staking — Staking Tournaments in the lobby. You will see a list of tournaments where players are offering action for sale. Select a tournament and a player from the list on the right, then choose the staking percentage and click Buy.
On the Staking Tournaments page, you can also view:
- which players you have bought action from (Players you are staking)
- which players have bought action from you (Stakes I am offering)
- your list of favorite players (Favourite players)
ACR Poker Staking Tickets: a brand-new tool for buying tickets for another player
Staking Tickets is a unique feature available only to ACR Poker users. It allows you to purchase tickets for a specific tournament or for multiple tournaments with the same buy-in for one or several players at once. ACR Poker Staking Tickets was launched in November 2025. Staking Tickets is in beta testing and may not be available to some users.

How the Staking Tickets feature works
- Go to the Staking — Staking Tickets tab
- Select a tournament and the type of ticket: staking a single specific event or all events with the same buy-in
- Choose the percentage of winnings you will receive if your “horse” finishes in the money
- Select how long your offer will remain valid
- Choose how many tickets each player will receive. Then enter the nicknames of the players (up to 100 players) you want to back. If Staking Tickets is not available to you, you will see the message: “Staking Tickets are currently in Beta. You’ll be able to purchase them soon”
- Click “Verify Players” to confirm the nicknames are correct, then click “Buy Ticket(s)” to complete the backing
Done! After the tournament ends, payouts will be made automatically to your account and to your player’s account.
Why is this convenient?
Staking Tickets provides transparency in the relationship between the backer and the player. Why is this important?
In live poker, a player can cheat a backer. For example, the player takes money for a tournament buy-in but never actually plays the tournament. Or the player plays the event but does not pay the backer after cashing. Or the player sells more than 100% of their action (like Constant Rijkenberg in the €5K EPT 2009 Main Event, who sold 137% of his action and eventually won the tournament for €1,508,000).
New ACR Poker players who register through PokerListings receive a $25 + $25 bonus, gain entry into the $500 Depositors Monthly Tournament, and can play in $100 Weekly PokerListings Freerolls. For more details, read the article.
