Fortune Wheel Spin to Win

Pulling off a repeat at the WSOP is the stuff of poker legend — and Aaron Cummings has just added his name to that rare list. One year after winning the $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw event in 2024, the Montana native came back and did it all over again in 2025, locking up a second bracelet and a $157,172 payday. Cummings bested a field of 635 entries and defeated Travis Erdman in a back-and-forth heads-up battle that capped off a dynamic final table.

Moshe Gavrieli might have come to Las Vegas for just five days, but he’s leaving with something far more permanent than a vacation memory: his first WSOP gold bracelet. In a classic underdog story that started with one of the shortest stacks on Day 3, the longtime house painter from Oakland, California, battled his way to the top of a 343-entry field to win Event #60: $3,000 Limit Hold’em (6-Handed).

It’s not often you see someone show up to play a single event, without even booking a hotel or return flight, and walk away with $200,303 and a lifelong poker dream fulfilled. But that’s exactly what Gavrieli did.

RedStar Poker, the iPoker Network will host four Wimbledon-themed Grand Slam promotions from June 30th to July 13th, 2025.

Let’s take a closer look at one of the hidden gems of this year’s World Series of Poker. Thomas Taylor is not without a reason, one of the top picks of the 25K Fantasy Draft. He is a well-accomplished mixed games player, supported by his beloved wife, Haven Taylor. Will we see him putting the crown on his work this summer?

From Medicine Hat to the grand felt of the WSOP, Thomas Taylor made his way to being one of Canada’s most feared mixed-game specialists. However, despite his consistent deep runs, he remains without a WSOP bracelet, and it won’t take long before he gets hold of one. He came just shy of it already a couple times now, including his second place in the $3,000 Nine-Game Mixed.

It took three days, nine games, and one perfectly timed ten-high hand, but Robert Wells finally did it. After two runner-up finishes in 2024, the Welsh mixed games specialist sealed the deal on his first WSOP bracelet by winning Event #58: $3,000 Nine Game Mix. And it didn’t come easy — not with a final table that included bracelet winners, international contenders, and high-stakes mixed game crushers.

Wells outlasted a 409-player field and defeated Canada’s Thomas Taylor heads-up to pocket $228,115 — a career-best score and a long-overdue breakthrough on the biggest stage in poker.

This summer, WPT Global is giving players the chance to travel to WPT Cyprus for free by winning a $3,500 package in one of their special feeder freerolls.

WPT Cyprus with a $2,000,000 guarantee will take place in Kyrenia, North Cyprus between August 13th and 18th, 2025.

Starting in June 2025, WPT Global will be offering players tournament ticket prizes for deposits with no requirements as part of a new daily Super Giveaway promotion.

Brett Lim didn’t think this was going to be his moment. Not 48 hours ago, not 20 minutes before the final hand. At one point during the heads-up, he was so frustrated he told his family they should move somewhere gambling isn’t even legal. But the sunglasses came off, the momentum flipped, and just like that—he’s a WSOP bracelet winner.

Lim outlasted a record-setting 7,575 players in the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em Championship, banking $653,839 and what he called the biggest surprise of his poker career.

Dylan Linde’s hot start to this year’s WSOP Vegas reached a boiling point last night under the lights of the feature table at the Horseshoe Cardroom.

After making two final tables this series in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em event and the $1,500 Monster Stack, the Idaho-born American binked his biggest score of his poker career thus far, winning Event #57: $50,000 PLO High Roller for $2,146,414.

Some names in poker just keep rewriting the record books—and two of them are doing it right now. What an honour to write about these beasts in poker!

Adrián Mateos, long considered one of the sharpest tournament minds in the game, captured his fifth World Series of Poker bracelet just ten days before turning 31. On another end of the spectrum, Benny Glaser is stacking up WSOP titles like it’s a summer tradition—landing his third bracelet of the 2025 series, and eighth overall.

In a sport driven by legacy, these two stars are fast becoming pillars of poker history. You could potentially call them, respectively, the King of Hold’em and the King of Mixed Games.

Adrian Peterson made headlines again — this time not for his running game, but for a fistfight at the poker table.

The former NFL MVP was involved in a physical altercation during a poker night at the JokerStars club in Houston, Texas, after what appears to have been a heated disagreement over a hand. The incident, which took place on May 27, was caught on camera and quickly went viral, making its way to Reddit, mainstream sports outlets, and poker forums alike.

At this stage of his career, Brian Rast has little left to prove. With six WSOP bracelets, over $27 million in live tournament earnings, and a spot in the Poker Hall of Fame, he’s long since established himself as one of the most complete players in the game. But Event #50: $10,000 Razz Championship at the 2025 World Series of Poker offered a reminder: Rast still has plenty of fight left — and maybe a touch of magic, too.

What unfolded over the final two days of the event wasn’t just a masterclass in Razz, it was a gritty, emotional comeback from the brink. Rast was down to a single big bet more than once during the heads-up duel against Andrew Yeh. But somehow, each time, he clawed back.

And when the dust settled, it was Rast holding the bracelet and the $306,644 top prize, having overcome 133 others — including multiple bracelet winners and mixed-game crushers — to reach seven career titles.

Three of them have made the shortlist for the first time. There are certainly no random names on this list. Let’s take a closer look at each of them.

In a sea of seasoned pros and mixed-game killers, it was a self-described hobbyist who walked away with the bracelet. Veerachai Vongxaiburana, a Las Vegas-based day trader who “just plays for fun,” pulled off one of the biggest stunners of the 2025 World Series of Poker by taking down Event #44: $10,000 Big O Championship.

Vongxaiburana outlasted a final table packed with talent—including four-time bracelet winner Phil Hui and two-time champ Marco Johnson — and earned a career-best $784,353 along with his first gold bracelet.

The Spin & Go Championship Live was nothing short of a massive success when it debuted last December at EPT Prague. So, it was a no brainer to bring in back this summer, and this time it’s heading to EPT Barcelona. The second edition of the event will run from August 30 to 31, bringing together 81 players at Casino Barcelona for a two-day competition with a €275,000 prize pool, including €100,000 for the winner.

Following its debut back in December 2024, the format returns with a few familiar elements: short-handed matches, a progression-based structure, and no direct buy-in. All players will qualify online through PokerStars, with more information on the qualification process expected soon.

After more than a decade of close calls, deep runs, and near misses, Seth Davies can finally scratch one thing off his poker to-do list: win a WSOP bracelet. The longtime high-stakes tournament pro triumphed in Event #46: $250,000 Super High Roller at the 2025 World Series of Poker, banking $4,752,551 and securing a career-defining victory in the series’ biggest buy-in event.

And he didn’t just win it — he took it in style. Davies closed out the title in a two-hand heads-up sprint against Alex Foxen, ending a wild final day that featured coolers, some controversy, and a milestone 14 years in the making.

For more than a week since June 10th, 2025 the poker community has been discussing cheaters on GGPoker (again).

The player Apologia87 became the whistleblower on Reddit by posting information about patterns of how they recognize these RnC cheaters. GGPoker reacted to their post very quickly — but the poker community wasn’t impressed at all.

In this article PokerListings shares with you the most significant parts of this discussion.

PokerStars has been busy on a lot of fronts this summer. This time, we’re talking about its latest software update for May 2025 came with two changes targeted at the playing experience. Between a new machine learning-powered tool for estimating tournament length and a rework of its Spin & Go deal, players can expect more information upfront and less time waiting in the lobby.

Here’s what’s changing — and why.
