The Festival Online Comes to 888poker Ontario with $100k Guaranteed
With 12 games over a week of online poker action, The Festival Online has an Ontario edition with $40,000 guaranteed in the Main Event.
The Festival Series has a live event coming up in Malta in May, but for players hungry for Festival glory right now, 888poker is hosting a massive online version of The Festival Series. While online poker players in Ontario, Canada were segregated from the world market last March, they haven’t been forgotten.
Alongside the global series, 888poker Ontario is running its own version The Festival Online. There is a bit more than $100,000 guaranteed across the week-long series with the best guarantee coming in the series-closing Main Event.
Big games bracket the series with the opening game worth some money as well. The Festival Online – Opening Event costs $109 to enter and guarantees $30,000 for the second-biggest guarantee of the series and there is one other game with a five-figure guarantee.

With $109 buy-in and $40k guaranteed, the Main Event is the best value game on the schedule. It has $367 guaranteed for every dollar of buy-in (Gtd/Buy-In), while The Opener comes in at #2 on the value list with $275 Gtd/Buy-In.
While both of those top-value games are also top buy-ins at $109, the third-best value this series comes from the $11 Mini Mystery Bounty 11 on Apr 8. While it only has $1,500 guaranteed, the smaller buy-in gives it a third-place value of $136.

Games From $11 to $109
All the games in The Festival Online at 888poker Ontario are affordable, with the most expensive games coming in at just $109. Players can get into the action for a lot less though, with the cheapest games costing just $11.
There are two $11 games, with one of them making the top three high-value games. The other $11 game has just $500 guaranteed, but it is still a good shot at a Festival title for a limited risk. There are also two $16.50 games and a $22 game to cater to smaller bankrolls.
At the other end of the buy-in spectrum, there are three games at $109 with $80k guaranteed between them. Those are also the only games on the schedule with five-figure guarantees, though the $6k guarantee on the $55 PKO Closing Event makes it a better value than the $109 Texas PKO 6-MAX with $10k guaranteed.

Satellite Into the Games for Free
The action begins on April 2, but players can already compete for even cheaper entry into the games. There are satellites running on the 888poker Ontario client daily right now for shots at the Opening Event and other satellites will no doubt hit the schedule once the Opening Event is complete.
The main satellite game is a $16.50 buy-in with 3 $109 seats guaranteed. Players can of course jump in at that level and play directly for the seat, but there are a couple of cheaper options to get into this game as well.
For players who want to get in for the cheapest cost, there is a freebuy game with 4c rebuys and up to three add-ons to start the climb to Opening Event tickets. There are ten tickets on offer to the next stage, a $2.20 satellite to the main $16.50 qualifier with seven tickets guaranteed.
