We try to remain impartial when reporting but it is natural to root for certain people including Caroline Schallock who we had the pleasure to speak with during the break.
We feel her pain after grinding a long day only to lose most of her stack on a cooler.
Schallock recapped the hand which we later spoke to her opponent Bruce Shannon. The duo got their stacks in the middle for a pot approaching 300,000 with Schallock holding ace-ten and Shannon holding ten-eight from the big blind on a board with two tens and an eight. Shannon's full house proved to be good and Schallock was down to a handful of big blinds.
The rest of her stack went in with ace-jack against ace-king. No love came on the board and Schallock will need to try again during another opening flight for a chance to advance to Day 2. Tomorrow won't be that day as Schallock plans to play the €230 Bounty Hunter Days Malta tomorrow at 5 p.m. Schallock has prioritized that event since she is currently in third place on the Bounty Hunter Days Leaderboard.
