PokerStars’ high-stakes home game is hitting the road again. Big Game on Tour returns for a second season this May, with a new cast of poker stars — and one mystery amateur — ready to battle it out for cash, pride, and highlight reel glory.
Following the successful revival of the format in 2024, PokerStars has confirmed that the show will air weekly on its YouTube channel starting May 24, with a special audition episode dropping a week earlier on May 17. As before, the focus is on a single amateur — dubbed the Loose Cannon — staked with $50,000 and tasked with trying to keep any profit they earn at the table.
Together with StatName, we continue to cover the results of the best cash game players across different stakes and rooms over the past month. As always, we try to find secrets, patterns and unusual observations at every limit, starting from NL10 and up to overall rankings — which really surprised us this time.
But first, as always, some important notes:
StatName considers net profit at cash tables. Rakeback, leaderboard rewards, and promotional bonuses are excluded from the statistics.
StatName tracks results only at regular cash tables (fast-fold tables are not included).
StatName data may differ from your HUD stats due to potential import errors, but the sample size remains representative and provides an accurate player performance overview.
The Spring Championship of Online Poker is one of those dates you can’t not mark on the poker calendar — but before the cards hit the air for SCOOP 2025, there’s a warm-up act that’s worth a headline of its own.
PokerStars has announced the SCOOP Warm Up, running April 20–28, with $6 million guaranteed across 78 tournaments. It’s a standalone mini-series designed to get players tournament-ready before the main SCOOP kicks off in May. And yes, there’s even a Ticket Machine on the side.
At the end of last year, the big news came out that SIGMA was diving into the world of live poker with their own branded SIGMA Poker Tour (SPT). Its first-ever stop will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 9-14.
The Sigma conferences held all over the world have been a huge benefit for the iGaming ecosystem, and now that they’ve introduced their very own epic live tournament series, players just got the chance to make use of these conferences in real time!
SIGMA is well-known in the world of iGaming and beyond. Their main focus relies on iGaming, emerging technologies, and affiliate marketing. Now, with their first stop starting in Brazil, they’re becoming a worthwhile name for online poker streamers, influencers, and all those people working within the poker industry.
When most people think of Triton Poker, they think along the lines of eye-watering buy-ins, jet-setting high rollers, and tournaments that look more like black-tie event than old-school card games. While Triton did build part of its brand in the clouds, it’s now preparing to land — at least partway — with a new approach aimed at making its signature poker experience more accessible.
The high-stakes tour has hinted at an expansion that will bring lower buy-ins into the fold, without compromising the premium experience that’s become its trademark. We’ll delve into what this means exactly in this article.
The Battle of Malta is happening as we speak, and currently, the 233 remaining players, who all are in the money, are battling it out to reach it on the third playing day of the event. A whopping total of 1,542 entries were made on all day 1s.
The Battle of Malta crew visibly improved several things during this event. One of them, is a gigantic 27-meter screen which gave the players a perfect introduction of what the event stands for and all its recent winners. Another unique feature is a local talk show, where the crew will present exclusive insights into the event. All-in-all, they are moving forward alongside the staggering playing fields which get attracted edition after edition.
Perhaps one of the most enlightening introductions of this series is the collaboration with the renowned online poker room of America’s Card Room (ACR). Not only will they organize an online edition of the Battle of Malta, but they will also host online day 1 flights for the next Autumn edition of the event.
Series, missions, leaderboards, bonuses — we collected information about all the promotions available at all the best online poker sites in one article. So, regardless of whether you favor PokerStars or WPT Global, there is something for everyone!
Poker players in North Carolina know the drill: if you’re playing a home poker games for real money — even just a friendly one — it’s technically illegal. That might come as a surprise to anyone who’s hosted a $20 sit & go in their garage or played a weekly cash game in a neighborhood clubhouse.
But a new bill is working its way through the state legislature that could finally change that. The proposal, backed by Rep. David Willis, is aiming to legalize social home games and protect players from criminal charges. It’s not a done deal yet, but the cards are definitely in the air.
New players can now enjoy a 100% bonus up to $3,000 + tickets worth up to $480 + *up to $100 in Casino Coin. This brings the total bonus value to $3,580. Here’s how it works.
The Irish Poker Open has never not delivered big fields, big characters, and a healthy dose of chaos. This year, PokerStars is leaning into that chaos with something new — and a bit unhinged.
Introducing the Shamrock Showdown, a team competition that takes place across the felt and far beyond it. Six teams, each led by a PokerStars Ambassador or a GRND crew member, will compete not just in poker tournaments, but also in lip sync battles, fancy dress dares, Irish food challenges, and whatever else PokerStars dreams up.
Think of this as poker with a game show twist. The teams are drafted, the points system is in place, and yes — there are SCOOP tickets on the line for spectators too. Here’s how it works.
It was only a matter of time.
With names like Alan Keating, Rick Salomon, Nik “Airball” Arcot, and Peter Wang at the table, High Stakes Poker Season 14 has been flirting with seven-figure pots all year. But on the final hand of Episode 10, the dam finally broke — and was in truly dramatic fashion.
Keating and Wang, two of the show’s most fearless gamblers, clashed in a hand that delivered everything poker fans love: deep stacks, big egos, and zero hesitation. The result? A pot worth $1,412,500 — the largest ever recorded on High Stakes Poker since the show began in 2006.
Let’s clear something up right away: poker freerolls are not too good to be true. They’re just one of the few things in online poker that really are what they sound like — free tournaments, real prizes, no catch.
Freerolls have been a thing since the dawn of online poker. They’re a no-risk way to play for real rewards, making them especially popular among new players, bankroll builders, and anyone who just loves value. And now, PokerListings is making it even easier to jump in — thanks to our brand-new exclusive weekly freeroll series at 888poker, running every Friday in April.
We’ve got the passwords. We’ve got the prize pools. And yes, it’s free every time. But first, before we get to the 888poker freerolls rewind for a moment.
The Bounty Hunter Series: Medieval Edition will run from April 6 to 28. But first, players are invited to warm up with the mini-series Episode 4 €500K GTD: Road to the Kingdom. Here’s a look at the biggest events and missions of both series.
When it comes to online poker, few things can slow down a session like someone tanking every street. Whether it’s just indecision or habitual stalling, the result is the same: a game that drags. Well, GGPoker has taken note — and action. In a recent update, the online operator overhauled its time bank system with a new feature called Time Bank Cards.
The change is (relatively) simple and has one clear goal at the moment — strike a balance between giving players more control when facing tough decisions and keeping games moving at a steady clip. While the idea is simple, there’s still more going on here than just a glorified shot clock.
Here’s what players need to know.

Not even a few weeks after announcing a new WSOP Circuit stop in Toronto, the World Series of Poker decided to continue its global expansion — this time, the biggest poker show in the world is heading back to Europe. From April 10 to 22, 2025, the picturesque city of Aix-en-Provence, France, will join the WSOPC calendar for the very first time.
Hosted at the Pasino GRAND Partouche and powered by Texapoker, the festival promises 12 WSOP Circuit rings, a pair of €1 million guaranteed events, and a venue that adds that desired southern French charm to the poker tables.
If you haven’t noticed, the online poker calendar is overflowing with promotions right now. Still, every once in a while, some series tend to cut through the noise — and the GGPoker Bounty Hunter Series is one of them. Kicking off on March 30 and running through April 21, this fan-favorite festival is back for 2025 with at least $50 million guaranteed across the board, and it’s once again leaning into what it does best: knockouts.
You’ll find everything you need to know about the 2025 edition of the Bounty Hunter Series below.
PokerStars has decided to bring its particular brand of live poker back to the States this April with the launch of a new series — PokerStars Open Philadelphia. Running from April 21–27, 2025, at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, the festival marks the North American debut of the PokerStars Open brand.
This is a fresh start for PokerStars’ live events in the U.S., and Philly gets the honor of hosting the opener. The venue? A 30-table poker room in the middle of South Philadelphia’s Stadium District. The vibe? Plenty of regional players, a few familiar faces from Team Pro, and a schedule packed to the brim with action.
Let’s take a look at what’s in store.
This years Irish Open will be larger than ever before, thanks to an additional four days of poker added to the schedule. With a massive €4,500,000 in guaranteed prize pools, and double the amount of tournaments available, it’s already set to be another record-break edition!
PokerListings will be represented by its Content & Social Media Manager Melvin Schroen and a new addition to the team, Ricardo ‘Tromex’ Matamala. Our viewers will be treated to unique insights of the event, interviews, and so much more! The players will have an opportunity to win some epic prizes once they’re interviewed by our two powerhouses.
Get yourselves ready folks, because the Battle of Malta Spring Edition is set to kick off and it’s being promised to be one epic show again. The attendance rates at this event go skyrocketing every single edition, and we expect no difference this time around.
The €600 Main Event of the Battle of Malta is the eye-catcher of the event, and last year, the Spring Edition had a total of 1,814 entries. It resulted in a massive payday for Vasileios Zisis from Greece, who banked a whopping €100,000.
Not soon later, during the record-breaking Autumn Edition, Vasileios Zisis almost went back-to-back but ended up in 2nd place for €160,800. The eventual winner, Cosme Martinez from Spain, managed to take home €255,800 and goes in the books as the winner of the largest Battle of Malta Main Event to date.
