Players went on a 30-minute break. Glen Gaines had a small edge as players began to leave their seats, although all three players were closely grouped together. The trio discussed a deal during the break, but nothing could be agreed upon moneywise. What they did agree on is that after playing three-handed play for more than four hours that they would reduce the blind levels the rest of the way from one hour to 30 minutes.
