Edgars Beizaks just hit what anyone would describe as a massive cooler moments after late registration ended.
The hand began with Beizaks opening for a min-raise from middle position. Vytautas Kacerauskas three-bet to 6,400 from the big blind and Beizaks called to see the A 8 3 flop.
Kacerauskas bet 10,000 before Beizaks jammed his short stack of around 20,000. Kacerauskas flipped a chip in and immediately turned over his cards.
Edgars Beizaks: 8 8
Vytautas Kacerauskas: A A
What a massive cooler for Beizaks to flop middle set and essentially left drawing to one out with Kacerauskas having the absolute goods with A A .
Beizaks didn't see Kacerauskas toss in the chip and asked the dealer, "Shouldn't his hand be dead?"
"I tossed a chip in," said Kacerauskas said while showing there were indeed three five-thousand denominated chips.
Others at the table confirmed a call was made before the cards were flipped over and Beizaks was on the rail in what will likely be the cooler of the day after the 9 turn and 6 river completed the board.
Before the cards were swept away, Beizaks wanted a photo of the hand.
"Nobody would believe it," Beizaks said about his elimination hand while snapping away.
