The Day 1d flight has resumed and the flight has blossomed to 389 entries during the dinner break. The tournament staff has informed us that it is more likely than not that the Day 1e flight scheduled at 9 p.m. will be postponed for a short time due to this and the big numbers attracted to the side events as well. It shouldn't be too long a delay if there is one but please be patient with the staff if a delay takes place.
As a reminder, the Day 1e flight plays differently. Not only does it feature faster 20-minute blind levels but also play out differently in another regard. Instead of 13 blind levels like the other opening flights, the turbo flight will play down to 26% of the field. There is also a sign about this at the cashier's desk and this was announced as well by the staff at the beginning of Day 1d as well. The tournament staff will announce how many players advance after late registration is closed for Day 1e.
For the record, we like this approach as it brings more parity between the turbo and regular opening flights.
