Picture a whole series which consists of low buy-ins with an enormously big GTD prize pool. Sounds too good to be true? Well, then you obviously haven’t heard of the Micro Thunder Series VI over at Global Poker!
Starting this Sunday, the 10th of September, lasting a whole week before finishing the 17th, Global Poker and the Micro Thunder Series VI offers a poker tournament schedule that surely will be one for the ages. There’s a real smorgasbord of tournaments for both the Gold Coins- and Sweeps Coins-players, so let’s dive right in and see what the fuzz is all about!
37 Gold Coin Events With a 26 775 000 GTD!
37 GC events will be played during the series with a relative gigantic guaranteed prize pool, considering the buy-in starts from mere 250. We’re talking Progressive Bounties, Re-buys and Deepstack tournaments, so it’s indeed only to choose your preferable format. The tournament that will be on most GC players mind will obviously be the Main Event (3 000 000 GTD) which is scheduled to start Sunday the 17th.
Except for the whooping 26 775 000 GTD in the 37 different events, there’s also extraordinary merchandise for all the final table players in each tournament. All the players who reach the final table will be awarded with a Micro Thunder Series pin, keychain and hat, as well as an entry to the “Gods of Thunder”-event, a GC event that will finish off the series the 17th with a 600 000 GC guarantee. Except parts of the merchandise listed above, the winner of each event will also receive a physical “Fist Of Lightning Trophy”. Boy, wouldn’t that look good at the top of your fireplace? Sweeps Coin Players Will Have the Time of Their Lives!
The Sweeps Coin tournament schedule is somewhat similar to the GC calendar. 37 unique events including the Main Event which will we played parallel to the GC edition, Sunday 17th. SC 15 000 is set aside to the Main Event from the overall 75 700 GTD during the whole series. The winner of a SC event will also receive a “Fist Of Lighting Trophy”, as well as an entry to the SC version of the “Gods of Thunder” event.

Let’s talk a little bit more about the “Gods of Thunder” tournaments which will finish off the series. Only the 37 GC event winners will qualify for the GC version of “Gods of Thunder”, and the same obviously goes for the SC edition. Except for the prize pool, there is a lot of merchandise at stakes here as well, and maybe the most prestigious one is the God of Thunder winner hoodie!
