Why You Should Get Excited About WPT Global Summer Festival?

WPT Global is a new online poker provider with a licensed connection to the famous World Poker Tour. However, since it has just launched previously this year, the player skill level is still very mixed, or maybe a better phrase would be “it’s a jungle out there with El Dorado and everything”. This money-gilded reality makes us here at www.pokerlistings.com very excited. We see WPT Global Summer Festival 2022 as one of the best online poker tournaments to win big this year. Next year, the skill level probably plateaus more…So before that happens!

If you consider yourself a poker shark, you must smell the blood in the water. And for the upcoming poker players hoping to strike gold and forward their poker careers – this is a perfect chance for you!

About The Festival in Bratislava

The Festival in Bratislava

The Festival Series returns to Bratislava this October with a massive €500,000 guarantee in the €550 Main Event. The event runs from October 10 until October 16 with plenty of poker side events and the signature blackjack, roulette and sportsbook tournaments.

After the Festival Series successfully debuted in the Banco Casino in Bratislava last year, the event returns to the Slovakian capital after the last stop in Tallinn and a big Online Edition that just finished. The Festival continues to partner with multiple operators and gives players the option to win packages via their favorite poker provider.

You will find all the details about The Festival on their site: TheFestival.com.

After more than three weeks of action, the first edition of The Festival Online powered by 888poker ended with the Argentinian player Pbustos14 winning the live-streamed Main Event of the series the Monday night.

Result: The Festival Online Main Event

  • Buy-in: $215
  • Players: 673 players (plus 140 re-entries)
  • Prize Money: $162,600
  • 1st place: Pbustos14 ($26,552.58)

With a buy-in of $215 the Main Event was one of the most expensive events of the entire Online Festival. However, 888poker ran multiple big satellite events in the weeks leading up to the final weekend so that players had the chance to qualify for a fraction of the buy-in. In the end, a total of 813 players registered for the Main Event (including 140 re-entries), generating a prize pool of $162,600.

The tournament started Sunday evening and went long into the night until the final table was found and the tournament was stopped. The final eight players returned Monday evening to play the Final Table and to find the winner of the biggest Festival Online Event. The final table was live-streamed on 888poker’s Twitch Channel with David Tuchman and Nick Wealthall commenting the action with several giveaways during the stream.

Pbustos14 Cracks Aces to Kickstart a Crazy Final Table Run

The Festival Online Final Table
The Final Table, moments before Pbustos14 crazy run to the title

The final table started with the player Pbustos14 last in chips and after a few minutes of play, he was down to 9 big blinds and found himself UTG with A 7 . He raised to 6 big blinds (effectively putting himself all-in) and right behind him xFink_Ploydx found A A and moved all-in. Pbustos14 called for his remaining stack and was a significant underdog. But Fortuna had different plans for him than a 9th-place finish. The board ran out K 4 3 Q 3 , giving Pbustos14 a flush to more than double up.

After that all-in, the Argentinian won almost every major hand he was involved in. With five players left, he took the lead in the chip count and managed to almost crack aces once more when he was all-in with A-8 against MindaugasKR’s A-A and the board ran out K-J-3-Q-T, giving both players the same straight. Pbustos14 simply couldn’t lose any all-in. A while late he eliminated MindaugasKR in 4th place when he moved all-in from the small blind with T-8 against A-9 and spiked an Eight on the river. The very next hand Pbustos14 was all-in with 2-2 against iOwnU888 who also held A-9. The board didn’t improve the Ace and just like that, the tournament was heads-up.

The heads-up between Pbustos14 and vpedote started with the Argentinian having a commanding 65 to 16 big blind lead. He even managed to extend his lead and then he found A A on the button. Pbustos14 min-raised and vpedote called with Q 6 . The flop sealed vpedote’s fate as it came down Q J 5 . Pbustos14 bet small and vpedote called. The turn brought the 9 and now Pbustos14 moved all-in and vpedote called with his top pair. The river fell 2 and the hand and tournament were decided.

After cracking Aces almost twice at the Final Table Pbustos14 won the online tournament fittingly with the very same hand. He earned $26,552.58 for his fantastic run and was crowned the first Festival Online Main Event Champion.

GGPoker has one of the best poker bonus systems for new customers. New players receive a match bonus of up to $600 with their first deposit, a welcome package in the form of several tournament tickets (total value $200) and can win another $350 in the so-called Honeymoon Challenge. In this article we take a look at the Honeymoon promotion, explain how it works and how to get the most money out of it.

How the Honeymoon Promotion for Newcomers works on GGPoker

New players have time to complete a total of 30 missions during their first 30 days on GGPoker. Some of the missions are almost trivially easy, others can be mastered with a little diligence and a few are extremely difficult.

Once you have successfully completed a certain number of missions, you will receive tickets to specific tournaments, cash or tournament dollars as a gift (you can use these for any tournaments).

Important: You have to activate the Honeymoon Challenge within the first seven days of signing up, otherwise this option will expire. You can easily activate the challenge in the GGPoker lobby.

Honeymoon Challenge Rewards

If you successfully complete a certain number of missions, you will receive these rewards:

MissionsRewardValue
32 x $0.50 AoF Sit&Go Ticket$1
51 x $2.50 Satellite Ticket$2.50
710 x $0.50 AoF Sit&Go Ticket$5
101 x $5 Satellite Ticket$5
15T$14$14
20$20.00$20
231 x $50 Ticket$50
24T$50.00$50
251 x $52.50 Ticket$52.50
30$150$150
$350

The tournament tickets are usually for tournaments in the Global MILLION$ series.

In total, if a player completes all 30 missions, he can collect $350. Realistically, however, most players can expect to complete 27 to 29 missions at the most unless they’re very lucky. We will explain why in the next section. But even so, this promo is still worth $200.

Honeymoon Challenge Missions

Every day you receive a new mission and have 24 hours to complete it. These are (as of 2025) the 30 missions in the Honeymoon Challenge:

DayMissionDifficulty
1Play 50 Hands Hold’emvery simple

The first missions are all very easy – you just have to play a few different variations. The first time it gets a bit more difficult is on day 8, when you have to play a 5x multiplier in a Spin & Gold. This only happens in 8.5% of all spins played.

From day 19 onwards, the missions become noticeably more difficult, as you have to play several hundred hands or dozens of tournaments. However, all this can be achieved with a little diligence.

Explore the best poker bonuses

The Three Most Difficult GGPoker Missions

Three missions are very difficult in the Honeymoon Challenge of GGPoker. These are the three missions:

  • Day 26 (Win a Bounty Hunter MTT): The mission requires nothing less than winning an entire online poker tournament. The trick here is to simply play all the Bounty Hunter tournaments available that day. Especially during the weekdays, some are running with less than 100 players and then you have a semi-realistic chance of winning one.
  • Day 28 (Hit 10x multiplier in a Spin & Gold game): Ultimately, the Day 28 task is all about diligence, but can be very frustrating. All you have to do is play quite a few Spin & Golds. The chance of hitting a 10x multiplier is 0.52 percent. If you play 100 Spin & Golds, you have a 40% chance of hitting such a multiplier. With 200 Spin & Golds the probability is 65% and with 300 Spin & Golds it is 79%. But you can also be unlucky. The probability of not hitting a 10x multiplier after 500 Spin & Golds is still around 7%.
  • Day 30 (Win AoF Jackpot): For the All-In-or-Fold games at GGPoker there is a jackpot that is paid out if you hit a straight flush (Hold’em) or royal flush (Omaha). The probability of hitting a straight flush in Hold’em in one hand is 0.0279%. That means you have to be very lucky to win this jackpot on the 30th day of the Honeymoon Challenge.

Tips for the GGPoker Honeymoon Challenge

Realistically, you should be prepared not to complete all the missions and treat the challenge as a $200 challenge. The really valuable rewards only come with 20 or more successfully completed missions. This means that in order to properly profit from this promo, you should definitely complete all the easy missions in the first few days. Then you have a small buffer in case you fail one of the later missions.

It’s not unrealistic to complete 25 missions if you invest a little time – very few missions take more than an hour if you’re willing to play multiple tables. And for 25 successful missions, there are already rewards worth a total of $200 – a bonus not to be despised at all.

After more than 13 hours on the final day, the United Kingdom’s Glen Gaines defeated local Estonian Igor Pihela Sr. heads-up to win the Tallinn Summer Showdown €1,100 Main Event for €62,400 at Olympic Park Casino and the adjoining Hilton Tallinn Park.

It was a back-and-forth affair during the entire final table and Gaines needed to come back from a huge heads-up deficit en route to the title. Gaines shared with PokerListings that this was just his second 1K event and he has made the most of it with the biggest Tallinn Summer showdown Main Event prize, eclipsing the €56,500 won by Finland’s Kristian Zitting, who won last year’s Main Event for €56,500.

“I’m chuffed,” shared Gaines after the win to PokerListings. “It will take a while to sink it. I wasn’t expecting to go deep considering it was my second 1K event.”

During the final table, Gaines realized that a win was within his grasp.

“I felt good four-handed,” Gaines said. I did take a knock when my tens didn’t hold from fives and thought it might slip away from me before I came back to win.”

The 2022 Tallinn Summer Showdown Event was another success story for Olympic Park Casino with 285 entrants coming out in full force to generate a €267,900 prize pool. This was just one entry shy of the record 286 entrants attracted during last year’s Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event.

A total of 34 players got paid at least a €2,100 min-cash for nearly double the €1,100 buy-in.

Final Day Recap

The final day began with Spain’s Victor Prior Fernandez Amat in the lead closely followed by Pihela Sr. The action started slow with 17 players looking to make it to the final table with local Estonian poker legend Ranno Sootla the only player to hit the rail within the first hour. Less than three hours after it began the action was down to a final table of nine players after Fernandez Amat sent the short-stacked Janne Nevalainen from Finland to the rail in 10th place.

2022 Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event
2022 Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event Final Table

Fernandez Amat still had the chip lead to start the final table with Pihela Sr. and Gaines closest on his tail. Gaines snagged the lead on the very first hand of play when his tens held against the sixes held by Finland’s Kaspar Laursoo to eliminate his opponent in ninth place.

Pihela Sr. then snagged the lead while also sending Finland’s Seppo Parkkinen with the money getting in on the river with Pihela Sr. holding the better two pair.

Next, it was Lithuania’s Paulius Jucys to become the table captain. Last year’s Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event runner-up Thomas Jakobsen from Norway ran into a cooler to go out in seventh place when he ran his big slick into Jucys’ rockets.

Finland’s Mikael Andersson then ran his ace-three suited into Gaines’ sevens to hit the rail and give Gaines the lead once again.

The action slowed down significantly during five-handed play, during which time the chip lead bounced around like a hot potato. About three hours later, the final day chip leader Fernandez Amat hit the rail on a flip when his nines proved to be no good against the ace-ten held by Latvia’s Juris Hlibovs.

Pihela Sr. had the chip lead at this point, but Gaines regained control after eliminating Hlibovs in fourth place when his big slick improved to two pair against his opponent’s sevens.

The three-handed play took more than four hours with each of the three holding the chip lead at one time or another. Jucys was the first out on the podium when his ace-ten didn’t get there against Pihela’s ace-queen.

Pihela Sr. began the heads-up action with a nearly 4:1 chip advantage. But the tables quickly turned and Gaines gained a significant lead before the final hand took place. Pihela Sr. got it in with ace-ten and was up against what Gaines described as the “Reading Nuts” with king-queen. The “Reading Surprise” proved to be the winning hand with a king coming on the board and Pihela Sr. had to settle for the runner-up prize of €42,300.

Meanwhile, a massive congrats to Glen Gaines for winning the 2022 Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event for €62,400.

After a long 13 1/2 hour day of 11 blind levels of an hour each, Victor Prior Fernandez Amat moved to the top of the pack with 1,300,000 in chips to lead the final 17 players heading into the final day of the 2022 Tallinn Summer Showdown €1,100 Main Event.

Fernandez Amat is one of several players from Spain that for the past few years has called Tallinn their home and is lately often playing all the big festivals at Olympic Park Casino and the adjoining Hilton Tallinn Park. The money bubble lasted more than an hour before Fernandez Amat delivered a cooler to Andre Magi. Magi committed his stack with queens on the turn with two fours on the eight-high board only to be drawing to one out unsuccessfully with Amat showing queen-four.

Estonia’s Igor Pihela Sr., who plays just about every Main Event at Olympic Park Casino along with his son Igor Pihela Jr., is the only other player entering the final day with a seven-figure stack of 1,153,000. Pihela delivered a huge cooler to Daragh Davey after the money bubble broke in a pot of nearly 1 million in chips. Pihela bet jammed for five times the pot on the flop with king-five suited for a flush draw and got there to leave Davey on fumes when his kings were unable to hold against Pihela’s eventual flush.

Estonia’s Gert Laanemets (850,000) and Latvia’s Juris Hlibovs (776,000) are next on the leaderboard. All four of the top players will start the final day at the same table. However, once one player is eliminated there will be an early table redraw tomorrow with two tables of eight players each. Meanwhile, Lithuania’s Paulius Jucys (553,000) also cracked the top five on the end-of-Day 2 leaderboard.

Action on Day 2

The two opening flights on Thursday attracted 248 entries of which 131 players bagged into Day 2. Another 37 entries were added during the first blind level of Day 2, after which late registration closed with a final field of 285 entries for a €267,900 prize pool.

A total of 133 players remained at this point and the eliminations early on were taking place at a fast and furious pace with just 34 players scheduled to take home at least a min-cash of €2,100. This was close to the record-setting Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event that took place last summer when Kristian Zitting defeated a field of 286 entries to win the €56,500 top prize.

The action slowed down significantly near the money bubble and nearly came to a halt of the action money bubble before Andre Magi became the final player in the Main Event to go home without a payday.

Emmi Juutilainen became the last woman standing finishing in 16th place when her ace-queen didn’t win a flip against jacks. However, ace-queen was still Juutilainen’s hand. For a short while, she was at the same table as her husband Henri Juutilainen, who found a bag of 378,000 in chips for the final day.

The duo tangled it up in what might be described as an unavoidable spot. Emmi jammed for 15 big blinds with ace-queen suited and was called by Henri with aces before the money. Perhaps in some households, this would be a recipe for disaster but the duo shared they play each other as they would anyone else when at the same table. That being said, Emmi celebrated in delight after she nailed a flush to double through Henri.

Main Event Payouts

The final 17 players have locked up at least €2,400 with payouts going up big and fast with tomorrow’s winner slated to be rewarded a whopping €62,400 top prize along with the coveted Main Event trophy. Here is a look at all of the Main Event payouts:

This August, partypoker is coming to the Czech Republic. The partypoker Championship (or PPC for short) Czech Republic runs from August 8-15 at the King’s Casino & Resort right at the Czech-German border.

King's Resort Rozvadov
King’s Resort Rozvadov

The biggest headline of this tournament is the Main Event, which offers a guarantee of a whopping €500,000 with a moderate buy-in of €330. While the live tournament doesn’t start until August 8, you can already play the first starting flight of the Main Event this Sunday, online on partypoker’s client.

In total, the tournament offers three online starting flights: July 31, August 7 and August 9. As has become customary in partypoker’s tournaments, all players who make it through any starting flight are automatically in the money. Players who qualify online will therefore receive at least a min-cash and can travel to the King’s Resort in Rozvadov with the safe knowledge that they are already in the money.

In total, the Main Event features another eight live starting flights from August 8-14. Day 2 begins on the afternoon of August 14 and the final will be played on August 15.

Further Highlights of the PPC Czech Republic

In addition to the Main Event, there is an extensive live tournament schedule with numerous side events. Among them is the PPC Opener – a €150 tournament with a €10,000 guarantee. There is also a €150 PLO Tournament, a €150 Ladies Event and a €1,100 High Roller event on August 14. During the PPC, cash games will run around the clock inside the King’s Casino.

PPC Satellites

Satellites to the Main Event

The Main Event of the partypoker Championship is already quite affordable at €330 (especially considering the guarantee of half a million euros), but you can qualify for the tournament even cheaper.

On-site live satellites run until August 12 for a buy-in of €60. Online you can qualify via the partypoker step system starting with a buy-in of only one cent.

Daily at 16:00 and 21:00 partypoker offers so-called Centroll Satellites. They have a buy-in of €0,01 and players win seats to the Phase 1 Satellites. These have a buy-in of €6.30 and run daily at 17:00 and 22:00. Every Sunday at 19:05 the operator runs a Phase 2 Satellite, which guarantees tickets to the Main Event of the PPC.

PokerListings Will be Live on Site

PokerListings will be providing a live blog from the tournament. Our live reporter Jason Glatzer will be on site with live updates. After the PPC Malta and the partypoker Millions Europe, this will be the third time this year that we will be live at a partypoker tournament!

This September, partypoker Grand Prix returns to the United Kingdom with a £100k GTD Main Event. Online satellites are already running at partypoker.com, with buy-ins starting as low as £0,01, so everyone can join the party! Through multiple online events and/or the £120 buy-in Main Event Day 1 (Sep 4-7) players can qualify for the Grand Prix UK Live Main Event Day 2 at the Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottingham, between the 8th and 11th of September.

About partypoker £100k GTD Grand Prix UK 2022

partypoker Grand Prix UK 2022 is online/live hybrid-event where the early stages and Main Event Day 1 flights are played as online tournaments and the Day 2 entirely live at the Dusk Till Dawn club.

The tournament structure allows one re-entry, and additionally, all players who satellites into Online Day 1A but get eliminated before Day 2, will get a free £16,50 satellite ticket for Online Day 1B via partypoker REPLAY.

If you manage to win your way to the Day 2 of the partypoker Grand Prix UK 2022, keep the schedule and dates in mind, because you only have a few days to get to Dusk Till Dawn poker club. Good thing is, all Day 2 players get paid, and at the Final Table this number at least four figures.

Who Will Win This Time?

From the last Grand Prix UK held earlier this year, the winner Beihao Wang bagged a nice £25,000 prize and was the best of 1,507 players. Who will win this time and how much? We shall wait and see. One thing that we do know is, that the atmosphere charged with professional poker entertainment, will go through the roof once the Day 2 begins. Luckily there is plenty of room at the largest poker club in the UK.

Dan Rose, PartyPoker’s Head of Live Events, said: “We’re loving the fact that the PartyPoker Grand Prix UK is becoming a regular part of the Dusk Till Dawn schedule. The low buy-in, high-guarantee events, alongside numerous satellites, allow players of all bankrolls the chance to win big. We hope to see lots of new and familiar faces at our next Grand Prix UK.”

This summer Luxon Pay will be sponsoring one of the biggest poker events in Europe. The Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party in Cyprus will run from August 19 to September 19. Our sister brand The Festival Series will be part of this poker party and as co-organizer they will provide two special mixed games, bringing variety to the event.

Details About the Mediterranean Poker Party

MPP Luxon

The Mediterranean Poker Party (or MPP for short) will take place in Northern Cyprus and will host numerous tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $550 to over $200,000. The main tournament of the event is the $5,300 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000.

The Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party kicks off with the $1,100 MPP Open, which guarantees $1,000,000, starting August 19. Next up is the MPP Warm Up, a $2,200 tournament with a $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool from August 26 – 30. The $5,300 MPP Main Event guarantees a whopping $5,000,000 starting August 29 and running until September 3.

Another exciting tournament on the MPP schedule is the $10,000 One Drop Event. This will take place August 28 – 29 and is similar to the Little One for One Drop at the WSOP. The tournament allows unlimited re-entries a special feature. For a donation of $1,111 to the One Drop foundation, the starting stack doubles from 20,000 to 40,000 chips.

The MPP begins on August 19 and runs through September 19. In the last two weeks, the Triton Poker Series Cyprus will take place – a high roller series with buy-ins up to over $200,000. All tournaments will take place at the newly opened Merit Royal Diamond Hotel. The 5-star hotel has one of the largest poker rooms in Europe with room for up to 200 tables.

The Festival Series Bringing Mixed Games to the MPP

The Festival Series will host two tournaments at the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party. These are two mixed-game events that will bring variety to the tournament schedule.

On September 3, the MPP will host the TheFestival.com PLO 4/5/6 Event with a buy-in of $1,100. Three Omaha variants will be played in this tournament: Regular PLO, 5-card PLO and 6-card PLO. The following day, on September 4, the MPP will host the TheFestival.com H.O.R.S.E. Tournament with a buy-in of $550 – in this event Hold’em, Omaha, Razz, Stud and Omaha Hi-Lo will be played.

The buy-ins at the Mediterranean Poker Party are quite a bit higher than the buy-ins at the Festival Series. In any case, The Festival’s tournaments at the MPP will bring the mixed-game feeling to Cyprus, ensuring plenty of variety at the tables.

For the first time in eight years, the PokerStars European Poker Tour is returning to London. From October 18 to 28, the most important European tournament series will once again come to the English capital.

It seems almost a little unreal that the European Poker Tour last visited London in 2014. Since the first live events of the online giant PokerStars in 2004, London hosted the EPT eleven years in a row. After that, it was a washout for almost a decade. A too expensive location, a legally too difficult terrain, scheduling conflicts with other tournaments – the reasons for the abstinence of the tour in London were manifold. Now, however, the EPT is coming back and will be held at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel in the heart of the British capital.

Highlights of the 2022 EPT London

After eight years, the European Poker Tour is coming back to London with a full schedule. As is customary with all EPT stops by now, the slightly lower-priced events of the local series are held before the EPT’s big events. In the case of England, this is the UKIPT (United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour).

These are the main tournaments of EPT London this year:

  • UKIPT Main Event: 18 – 22 October (£1,100).
  • UKIPT Mystery Bounty: 20 – 21 October – (£440)
  • EPT H.O.R.S.E. Championship: October 20 – 21 (£1,100)
  • UKIPT High Roller: October 21 – 22 (£2,200)
  • EPT Super High Roller: October 21 – 23 (£50,000)
  • EPT Main Event: 22 – 28 October (£5,300)
  • EPT Platinum Pass Mystery Bounty: 24 – 26 October (£3,000)
  • EPT High Roller: 26 – 28 October (£10,300)

Platinum Passes to be Won

As part of EPT London, PokerStars is offering two Platinum Passes worth $30,000 for free. One such pass allows the winner to enter the PokerStars Player’s Championship at the Caribbean Adventure in January 2023. The pass includes the $25,000 buy-in, travel allowance, and a week’s stay at a 5-star resort in the Bahamas.

The Platinum Pass Mystery Bounty will feature a Platinum Pass worth $30,000 as a mystery bounty. In addition, all online qualifiers for any UKIPT London and EPT London event are eligible to participate in an all-in shootout tournament on October 22 in the Hilton Park Lane. The winner of this tournament will also receive a Platinum Pass.

» How to win Platinum Passes for the PokerStars Player’s Championship

Special Conditions in the Hilton Park Lane: Cashless

There is one specific rule for all EPT and UKIPT tournaments in London this year. The entire event is cashless. Since the EPT London takes place at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel and not directly in a casino, the entire event is without direct payment options. Buy-ins are available either through the PokerStars client or at the Hippodrome Casino, about 10 minutes away.

All cash games will take place at the Hippodrome Casino. There will be a free shuttle service from the Hilton Park Lane to the Hippodrome and back.

Details of the schedule will be published here shortly.

History of the EPT London

From 2004 to 2014, the EPT was held by PokerStars in London. The tournament had its peak in 2010 when 848 players took part and in the end, the Briton David Vamplew won the tournament. The last winner was the German player Sebastian Pauli in 2014.

This Monday evening the third big weekend of The Festival Online powered by 888poker concluded with laromachikne winning the big Texas 8-Max and taking home more than $16,200.

Result: The Festival Online Texas 8-Max

  • Buy-in: $109
  • Players: 805 players (plus 243 re-entries)
  • Prize Money: $104,800
  • 1st place: laromachikne ($16,223.04)

The $109 8-Max was the biggest event of The Festival Online this weekend. With 1,048 total entries, the guarantee was surpassed and a total of $104,800 was played for. The tournament began Sunday evening and went long into the night until the final eight players were found and the tournament was stopped. Those Final Eight returned on Monday evening to play the final table and for the lion’s share of the prize pool. The final table was streamed live on 888poker’s Twitch Channel with David Tuchman and Nick Wealthall commenting the action and offering several giveaways during the stream.

After less than two hours only three players remained and laromachikne already had a very sizeable lead with more than two thirds of all the chips. He then took out GediminasDir who shoved with 6-6 into laromachikne’s 9-9 and didn’t find any help on the flop. This left laromachikne with only one opponent: MIKEPOSTLE who had only 7 big blinds left (to laromachikne’s 83 big blinds). The short stack managed to double up once but eventually succumbed to laromachikne when he shoved all-in with Q 6 and was called by A Q . MIKEPOSTLE had serious kicker problems and eventually lost after the board ran out K K 7 3 4 .

What Is Partypoker Party Mix and How It Works

The Party Mix promotion covers all three elements of Party Gaming imperium – Party Casino, Party Sports and partypoker. The missions for casino and sport betting are very simple and only require you to wager $10 on casino and $20 bet wagered on sports to get the prizes, but what does this mean for the partypoker poker player?

If you like to play No-limit Hold’em cash games online or fastforward tables with blinds higher than $0,05/$0,10, now is the best time to do so.

Your mission is to join a table that meets the blinds limit and get A K, or A Q as your hole cards. That’s it! Once the mission is completed, your Party Mix prize is waiting for you on your partypoker account.

What clearly is the aim of this promotion, is to get partypoker players to mix things up and broaden their gaming experience, which also gets you rewarded for free. Fair deal if you ask me.

5 Simple Steps How to Join partypoker Party Mix

  1. Go to partypoker, logging, or register a new account.
  1. Play NL Hold’em cash games or fastforward table with blinds $0,50/$0,10 or above.
  1. Get A Q or A K as your hole cards.
  1. Claim your Party Mix mystery box of the day and get your prize.

Join the Fun and Start Mixing Things up With partypoker Party Mix

Party Mix promotion is now live and multiple mystery boxes and prizes have been already delivered to active players. Join the fun and start mixing your experience by simply playing poker cash games or fastforward No-limit Texas hold’em tables with blinds higher than $0,05/$0,10 and play till you hit that A K or A Q and you receive your Party Mix gift.

The fastforward poker at partypoker is a fancy name for a fast-fold poker where you are automatically moved instantly to a new poker table after you fold. In fastforward poker, players swap tables all the time and the round speed is way faster than in regular NL Texas Hold’em. Mix it up with partypoker Party Mix and reap the benefits of the daily freebies!

Sweden’s Kalle Ly was one of the heroes of The Festival Series Tallinn earlier in the month after winning our very own PokerListings €250 Deepstack Championship after making a heads-up deal with Antony Kauzloric with each player banking €10,736.

The PokerListings Deepstack Championship was one of the marque side events to go along with dozens of other poker and casino events littered throughout the schedule.

The crowd did not disappoint with 252 entries entering the two-day event to generate a €52,432 prize pool with the top 31 players getting paid at least a €410 min-cash.

“The win felt very good,” Ly shared with PokerListings. “It felt especially good as it came after my last big tournament in the Coolbet Open where I busted in 15th place. It felt like nice revenge.”

A Little Luck Went a Long Way

Ly has been playing poker for a long-time both online and described himself as a professional player from 2008-2012. While he was playing at a ton of rooms that are no longer in existence including Entraction, MPN, and Paradise, this likely didn’t affect Ly’s life as he shared he hasn’t played online poker in 8-10 years.

With all his experience, Ly was humble in sharing that it’s good to be lucky at the right times after nearly hitting the rail short of the gold in third place.

“I nearly went out in third place,” Ly said. “Instead I doubled before eliminating through the same opponent (Richard Koppel) in third place when my king-seven was good against ace-jack. But it’s hard to win a tournament without luck.”

This author checked out some of the heads-up action. Ly has been known to be friendly during other events over the years but appeared to be laser-focused and serious during his heads-up match against Kauzloric. Appearances aren’t everything as Ly felt that his opponent was more focused on the title.

“It may seem so but I was not very focused,” Ly said when we shared about how focused he appeared. “Of course, a HU is a HU. I think Antony was more focused and wanted to win. The action went back and forth. But it felt good and it went all the way.”

Ly About to Go 3 for 3 with The Festival Series

The Festival Series has already brought tons of excitement with two festivals chocked filled with poker, casino, sports wagering tournaments along with amazing VIP activities away from the tables.

Ly has been to both including the inaugural launch of The Festival Series in Bratislava in September 2021 and more recently in Tallinn. Ly has confirmed that he will be back for the third time where it all began at Banco Casino Bratislava on Oct. 10-18, 2022.

“I like the Festival series,” Ly shared. “I played the premiere of The Festival Series last year in Bratislava and I liked it a lot. The event was well organized and the city was amazing. It was great meeting the casino community with those you know and new people. It will be even better and bigger this year with a Main Event guarantee of €500K.”

The new poker provider WPT Global launched the WPT Summer Festival this weekend – a tournament series with 50 tournaments and a total guarantee of over $3.5 million. The most exciting tournament of the series is the $1 for $1,000,000 – a tournament with a buy-in of just $1 but a guarantee of $1,000,000. Read up on all the details on the series below.

The WPT Summer Festival runs from July 20 to August 22 with 50 tournaments. Buy-ins range from $1 to $2,000 and there are tournaments in various variants: No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha and Short Deck. The Main Event, with a $330 buy-in, guarantees $1,000,000 and runs from August 12 until August 22. The series also offers $550 satellites, playing out tickets to the $15 million WPT Championship in December.

Every player who wins any Summer Festival tournament automatically earns a seat in the Tournament of Champions Freeroll. In this tournament, the top two finishers will win a ticket to the WPT World Championship.

Highlights of the WPT Global Summer Festival

Let’s take a look at the tournament highlights of the series:

$1 for $1,000,000

The starting flights of the tournament will run every Wednesday and Sunday from July 20 to August 22. The buy-in is $1 and the top 13% of each flight will advance. Players can play multiple flights. The best stack advances (see below how this works).

Day 2 will be played on August 21 and the final is on August 22. This will be broadcast live on the WPT Global Twitch channel.

WPT Global expects this tournament to have a massive overlay estimated to be $800k to $900k. Make sure to earn your share of that juicy overlay prize pool!

Summer Showdown

The WPT Global Summer Showdown runs from July 25 to July 31 with daily starting flights. The buy-in for this tournament is $220 and the tournament guarantees $250,000 in prize money.

There is also a mini edition of the tournament that runs at the same time but costs only $22. This tournament has a guarantee of $50,000.

PLO Championship

From August 1 to August 7, the PLO Championship runs with a $220 buy-in and $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. There is also a micro version of this tournament with a $22 buy-in and $20,000 guarantee.

Summer Progressive Bounties Championship

From August 8 to August 14, the Summer Progressive Bounties Championship will be played. This is a progressive knockout tournament with a buy-in of $220 and a guarantee of $300,000.

There is also a mini version with a buy-in of only $11 and a guarantee of $20,000.

Main Event

The most important tournament of the series, the Main Event starts with the first flight on August 12. There will be daily starting flights through August 20. The buy-in is $330 each and the tournament guarantees $1,000,000. Day 2 will be played on August 21 and the final on August 22.

There is also a mini-variant of this tournament at the same time with a buy-in of $33 and a guarantee of $100,000 running on the same dates.

Best Stack Forward

Best Stack

All headlined tournaments of the WPT Global Summer Festival work with the so-called “Best Stack Forward” principle. This allows players to play multiple starting flights, even if they have already made it to the second day in one of the flights. If you make it to the second day in several starting flights, you will continue playing with the best stack of each of your flights.

This option is interesting for players in two cases. Firstly, If you barely make it to the second day and don’t have many chips, you can try to improve your position without risking your stack. Secondly, the Best Stack Forward option is much more interesting if you play a tournament that has a significant overlay. Then, at least from a pure EV perspective, it is also worthwhile to try to get a better result even if you already have an average stack. The chance of a better positioning for day two is worth more than the buy-in. This is very relevant in the case of the $1 for $1,000,000 tournament. De facto this tournament is an enormous freeroll and will have a massive overlay. It’s worth farming the numerous starting flights and trying to go into day two with as big a stack as possible.

Register at WPT Global and take your bonus

Players who sign up now at WPT Global will receive a $1,200 welcome bonus, get a $110 tournament ticket as a gift with their first deposit, and receive a couple of free tickets to the WPT Summer Showdown.

Full details of the WPT Summer Festival are available on the WPT Global homepage or in the client.

The third weekend of The Festival Online powered by 888poker will focus on 8-max tournaments. The big 8-max event features a heavy $100,000 guarantee for a buy-in of $109 and runs over two days.

The difference between regular tournaments with nine players per table and 8-max tournaments with only eight players per table might sound small, but the increased action is quite noticeable, especially in later stages. Players see fewer hands during one orbit and the blinds are a more substantial threat to all shorter stacks. This in turn leads to more preflop raises and reraises and more aggressive play in general.

This weekend you have the option to play two different 8-max events during The Festival Online at 888poker.
