The PokerGO Tour (PGT) today announced the indefinite suspensions of Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler from tour play, effective immediately. The suspensions will extend through at least the 2022 PGT season, upon which time a review will take place.
“The PGT is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and emphasizes proper conduct to ensure the safety and security of its players and events.”
Both players have been ruled ineligible for the season-ending PGT Championship and have been removed from the 2022 PGT leaderboard.

Imsirovic and Schindler were on the top of the world with $53 million in combined live earnings as tracked by The Hendon Mob. In particular, Imsirovic was widely known as the best high-stakes no-limit hold’em tournament player in the world in 2021 when he won a whopping 14 high-stakes tournaments catapulting him to both the PokerGO Tour and theGlobal Poker Index Player of the Year.
Both players took a big reputational hit in April when many reputable members of the high-stakes poker community including Chance Kornuth and Alex Foxen launched cheating accusations including RTA in online events and collusion during live events.
Poker black-list can't come soon enough. Ali is banned from GG for Multi-accounting and RTA. I have witnessed numerous chip dumps to horses, and many suspicious changes in play from people known to be his horses when deep in online MTTs.
The poker Twitterverse exploded with most in the poker community calling for them to be blacklisted in both the live and online poker arenas. PokerStars was rumored to have banned both players from the EPT while Triton Poker was rumored to do the same with their events. One thing is for certain is that both Imsirovic and Schindler typically do not miss either event and they were noticeably absent from both the EPT Monaco and the Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) didn’t react the same as the EPT and Triton Poker and allowed both players to compete. This obviously led to some controversy. However, not too much different than former Full Tilt Poker executive Chris “Jesus” Ferguson coming back to play in 2016 after a five-year break while silently ignoring his haters and the media alike. The following year, Ferguson put in a full schedule and went on to win the 2017 WSOP Player of the Year.
In a slightly similar fashion, Schindler and Imsirovic ignored the haters and grinded out the 2022 WSOP as if nothing changed. Schindler went on to win his first WSOP gold bracelet after he shipped the WSOP Event #8: $50,000 High Roller for $1,328,068.
Time will tell whether the WSOP will follow the suit of others and ban both players along with former GGPoker Ambassador Bryn Kenney who was also a prime target of cheating accusations with the 2022 WSOP Europe taking place in November at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
Is the Announcement Enough?
While most in the poker world support the announcement it is fair to question to ask if this is enough. However, it would also be fair to give PokerGO time to evaluate the situation near the end of the year with the current ban described as indefinite and at least through the end of the 2022 PokerGO Tour season.
While most in the poker community supported the ban, not everyone on Twitter did. Although when players did disagree, it appeared that reputable poker players such as Jason Wheeler were quick to react.

Twitch, the go-to video live streaming platform for poker players, is also the home of many eGame and eSports competitions, musical broadcasts, “in real life” streams, and other creative content including streaming of slots broadcasts.
A scandal involving streamer SilkeR, who admitted scamming fellow streamers out of thousands of dollars to fuel his gambling habits, prompted many popular streamers for Twitch to enable a gambling ban.
Following this, Twitch made an announcement on Wednesday, Sept. 21 to go into force as of October 18 which will have some slots streamers scrambling.
“We’ll be making a policy update on October 18th to prohibit streaming of gambling sites that include slots, roulette, or dice games that aren’t sufficiently licensed either in the U.S. or other jurisdictions that provide consumer protection,” Twitch announced.
Rest assured that the most popular poker Twitch streams will not be targeted according to the announcement by Twitch.
“We will continue to allow websites that focus on sports betting, fantasy sports, and poker,” Twitch shared.
It is unclear from the announcement whether rooms offering unlicensed services to the USA will be targeted such as America’s Card Room or the plethora of black-market poker apps. For now, it appears just four sites, all targeting slots and table game players, were specifically called out as blacklisted as of Oct. 18th on Twitch.
“These sites will include Stake.com, Rollbit.com, Duelbits.com, and Roobet.com,” Twitch shared about the specific banned sites. “However, we may identify more going forward.”
At least for now, those streaming no-limit hold’em tournaments from licensed sites including the likes of the popular broadcasts by PokerStars Ambassador LexVeldhuis and GGPoker Ambassador Kevin Martin will be safe.

Some slot streamers will either have to make major adjustments to their stream or find a new home away from Twitch come Oct. 18, 2022. It might not be as easy as it sounds as on one hand Stake.com is rumored to pay its top streamers seven-figures a month. This isn’t easy to turn down.
Popular slots streamers like Roshtein along with his clan of slots-streaming friends in VonDice, DeuceAce, and FrankDimes all have decisions to make. Roshtein in particular has built up a more than 1 million view following. He started off playing small stakes trying to earn off bonuses before progressing up stakes due to what he claims over and over on his streams is due to earnings from affiliate revenue and not from gambling itself. He has played on numerous sites but over the past year, Stake.com has been his home, where suddenly $1,000 slot spins and $100,000 bonus buys have become the norm. While he hasn’t shared the exact figures, he hasn’t been shy to say that Stake.com does pay him to host his stream on their site. Now, he will be stuck with a difficult decision going forward as to whether to try to move his massive audience to another streaming network or to find a home playing elsewhere.
Although affected by Twitch’s announcement, Roshtein may not have been the target of this as at least he was streaming from outside the United States. American eGame streamers xQc, and Trainwreckstv, and others have moved eGames to slots thanks to the lucrative deals they have made with Stake.com.
As one might expect, the reaction by slots streamers who do play at regulated online networks are pleased that others will be steered to do the same.
Slots Twitch streamer Kim Hultman, who plays under the name LetsGiveItASpin and also occasionally plays poker including a recent appearance on High Stakes Poker, was among those happy about the announcement.

The 2022 Kings of Tallinn was a massive success with 25 trophy events attracting more than 3,000 entries with more than €1 million in prize pools and bounties awarded.
The poker action was buzzing from Sept. 12-18 at Olympic Park Casino and the adjoining Hilton Tallinn Park with a robust tournament and satellite schedule designed by Tournament Director Teresa Nousiaisen along with cash games running around the clock.
Australian poker globetrotter Adam Kharman was easily the star of the festival as he not only defeated a field of 328 entries in the Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event for €64,280 but also won the Kings of Tallinn Team Challenge as part of Team Duce alongside teammates Zachary Duce, Rasmus Sepping, and Michael Behnert.
“I’m so happy,” shared Kharman to PokerListings after winning the Main Event. “Lots of time and energy go into poker and so grateful it has rewarded me. I think I played really well except at the start of the event when I had to re-enter. I played well, ran well, and had no bad beats. Nice way to win!”
Adam Kharman Wins 2022 Kings of Tallinn Main Event
The Kings of Tallinn Main Event was a deep and well-structured no-limit hold’em affair with hour-long blind levels throughout the event. The event was live reported from beginning to end by PokerListings and attracted 328 entries to create a €308,820 prize pool with the top 39 players securing at least a €1,900 min-cash.
Adam Kharman finished sixth in the Kings of Tallinn Main Event last year and shared with PokerListings around the start of the penultimate day that he was looking to do even better this year. Not only did he do better, but he went on to win the Main Event for €64,280 after defeating Kurt Skimmeland in one of the most commanding performances in an international Main Event in Estonian history.
Kharman came into the final table with the chip lead and never let go going coast-to-coast as the table captain while also eliminating four final tablists en route to victory with Skimmeland eliminating the other three players. It wasn’t easy picking for Kharman as it was the final table featured lots of talent including the red-hot Algirdas Saveikis, who recently won the Euro Poker Million for €172,850, WSOP bracelet winner Vincas Tamasauskas, and Finnish poker legend Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies.
All three of these players were never able to get anything going along with the rest of the final table thanks to the relentless aggression displayed by Kharman until his strategy changed during heads-up play against Skimmeland.
“I was able to leverage my stacks against the next biggest stacks and put pressure on the players I knew I could put pressure on,” Kharman shared about his play. “It was nice having the short stacks around for a while.”
As we already mentioned, Adam Kharman not only won the Main Event but his victory helped Team Duce win the coveted Team Challenge competition for a share of the €15,360 top prize alongside teammates Zachary Duce, Rasmus Sepping, and Michael Behnet.
Kharman wasn’t the only player on the team to win a trophy on the team as fellow Aussie Sepping also won a big event after defeating a field of 278 entries to win the Kings of Tallinn €550 for €27,140.
Meanwhile, Timon Pojat, featuring Akseli Paalanene, Ilari Tahkokallio, Heikki Piira, and Arto Loikkanen, finished runner-up in the Team Challenge for €5,120.

Mattila and Haider Win Two Side Event Trophies Each
Many eyes were on the side events with each non-satellite event attracting at least 12 entries contributing to points on the Team Challenge leaderboard.
Players from far and near won trophies including local Estonian Ilya Nikiforov agreeing to a deal with fellow Estonian Igor Pihela Jr. en route to win the Kings of Tallinn €3,000 High Roller for €36,390.
Lithuanians showed their presence with not only two players from the small Baltic country winning trophies but also with Albert Ostrovskij, Domas Juozėnas, Giedrė Stepulionienė, and Laurynas Černiauskas all finding Kings of Tallinn gold in side events.
As usual, the Finnish players were out in full force with Joel Holmberg, Arto Lehtonen, Jari Hurri, Risto Pönniö, and Jarkko Suokas all going home with a trophy. Meanwhile, Jussi Mattila will take back to Finland two trophies as he not only won the €150 Celebrity Event for €7,235 but also won the €250 Team Event alongside fellow Finns Veli-Pekka Alakorva, Henri Schalin, and Heikki Heinonen.
Austria’s Bernhard Haider also won two trophies after shipping the €120 PLO Mix 4, 5 & 6 Cards for €3,650 and the €150 OlyBet Special for €5,322.
Germany’s Fabian Bartuschk, Norway’s Nicolai Vold, American Richard Randolph Jr., Slovakia’s David Berdis, Scotland’s Kevin Wood, Spain’s Juan Carlos Vecino Dueñas, and Poland’s Bartosz Mielczarek and Arkadiusz Liszewski also were victorious in side events at the 2022 Kings of Tallinn.

Three other players found a bag north of 500,000 including Finland’s Ville Konttinen (570,000), Lithuanian WSOP gold bracelet winner Vincas Tamasauskas (569,000), and Australian poker globetrotter Adam Kharman (546,000).
Two female players are still in the mix, although one of them in Norway’s Evy Albrigtsen has her work cut out for her tomorrow as she will enter the action with the shortest stack of 26,000. The other woman remaining in Phenporn Laatikainen is in a bit of better shape with a stack of 200,000 entering Day 3.

WCOOP 2022 Main Event Qualifying Routes

Sam Grafton had a day to remember as he navigated through a star-studded final table including defeating nosebleed cash game crusher Linus Loeliger heads-up to win the $200,000 buy-in Coin Rivet Invitational for a whopping $5.5 million.
Grafton is known as ‘SamSquid’ to many in the poker community and also at PokerStars, where he was announced as an ambassador more than a year ago along with Andre Coimbra and Parker Talbot.
While the 42-years-old Grafton has been a big name in the poker world for a while, the victory was easily the highlight of his poker resume with his second biggest cash prize. His previous biggest cash prize came in another no-limit hold’em event after he took runner-up to Sergei Reixach in the 2019 EPT Barcelona Event #15: 100,000 No Limit Hold’em – Super High Roller for €1,303,950 ($1,453,517).
The victory also nearly doubled Grafton’s live total haul to $12.2 million and catapulted him from eighth to fourth place on The Hendon Mob England All Time Money List ahead of the likes of Charlie Carrel ($9.6 million), Talal Shakerchi ($8.7 million), Jack Salter ($8.6 million), and Toby Lewis ($8.2 million).
The event was unique as it was an invite-only affair with businessmen and others known outside the poker world able to select one poker player. The field was initially split between the the professional players and the recreational players before they merged later in the event.
“It was so much fun,” Grafton said to Triton Poker after his career day. “Playing against some of the most remarkable entrepreneurs and businesspeople in the world…It was played with a special spirit. On the day the two lanes merged, players were smiling like it was Christmas or their birthday. Everyone had a skip in their steps. Tournament poker is just amazing. Playing this format is very special.”

The $200,000 Coin Rivet Invitational attracted 115 entries including 25 re-entries to generate a mouth-watering $5.5 million prize pool. The prestigious Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus event paid the top 17 players at least a min-cash of $380,000 with the prizes growing quickly from there.

A total of 16 hopefuls returned for the third and final day of the Coin Rivet Invitational with the eventual winner Grafton in the lead.
The final table was set after Antanas ‘Tony G.’ Guoga, Vadzim Godzdanker, Dan Cates, Theis Vad Hennebjerre, Horace Wei, Leon Tsoukernik, and Dave Nicholson all hit the rail. At this point, Grafton dropped to the middle of the pack and the only player that wasn’t a poker pro in French businessman Karl Chappe-Gatien entering the final table action as the table captain.
Chappe-Gatien was hot out of the gate and extended his chip lead by eliminating a trio of poker pros in Seth Davies, Tom Vogelsang, and Elias Talvitie in quick fashion.
Latvian poker beast Aleksejs Ponakovs was celebrating his 31st birthday in a way we can only dream of at the final table of a nosebleed buy-in event. However, all good things came to an end at the hands of PokerCode founder and GGPoker Ambassador Fedor Holz. First Holz doubled through Ponakovs when his ace-queen was good against king-ten suited before taking the rest of Ponakovs’ stack when his ace-jack held against king-nine.
Ebony Kenney nearly made history in taking home the single largest cash by a female poker player in a poker event. This honor will still belong to Norway’s Annette Obrestad, who won the WSOP Europe £10,350 Main Event for a cool £1,000,000 ($2,013,733). Kenny needed to ladder up just one spot to pass Obrestad to become the leader and was just one card away from being in a prime position to do so.
It was looking good for Kenney when she got it in good with jacks against Chappe-Gatien’s nines. However, a nine spiked the river and the dream was over. This was still by far the biggest win for Kenney, who came in with $630,000 in live tournament cashes and had a film crew with her for an upcoming documentary.

Chappe-Gatien was back delivering another bad beat. This time, it prevented Holz from reaching the podium when his ace-jack suited was unable to hold against ace-ten.
Luck ran out for Chappe-Gatien. He first doubled up Loeliger when his queen-nine suited didn’t have enough gas against ace-queen before also doubling Grafton when his big slick didn’t win a race against tens. Chappe-Gatien was then on the rail when his queen-deuce suited proved to not be enough to beat Grafton’s big slick to leave just two players remaining.
Grafton began heads-up play with nearly a 5:1 chip advantage over Loeliger. This doesn’t mean heads-up play went smoothly for Grafton as it was quite the opposite at first as he doubled Loeliger twice before finally sealing the deal for the victory when his ace-seven held against king-six.
A huge congrats to Grafton on winning the Coin Rivet Invitational for $5.5 million and best of luck the rest of the way at the Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus.
Dan “Jungleman” Cates needs no introduction to those following poker as he has been at it for years. He got his claim to fame more than a decade ago in the online poker arena by beasting the biggest nosebleed cash games available for years.
Cates is more than a one-trick pony as he has amassed nearly $12 million in live tournament earnings as tracked by The Hendon Mob. His last recording live poker cash was a memorable one as for the second straight year it awarded Cates a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet after he defeated a field of 112 entries in the WSOP Event #56 $50,000 Poker Players Championship – 6-Handed to win the $1,449,103 top prize.
Cates has recently shown why he is among the best with a great read in a hand against Karl Chappe-Gatien in the live-streamed Coin Rivet Invitational, featuring the biggest buy-in of $200,000 at the Triton Super High Roller Series (SHRS) Cyprus taking place at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Casino.
There were just 19 players remaining with blinds at 25,000/50,000 along with a big blind ante of 50,000 when Cates, dressed as ancient Roman, strutted his stuff.
The hand began simply enough with Cates opening for 100,000 with A K and Chappe-Gatien called with 2 2 from the small blind. Both players checked the 8 6 7 flop before the J turn put four hearts on the board.
Not only did neither player own a heart but also didn’t connect in any way to the board. One thinking in ABC poker terms would normally think the first player to bet would take down the pot but that isn’t what happened here as you will soon witness.
Cates bet 175,000 after Chappe-Gatien checked. Instead of letting his hand go, Chappe-Gatien opted to portray a strong hand and min-raised to 375,000.
“It’s a pretty sick play,” Triton Poker commentator Randy Lew said. “He knows he just needs to risk the minimum on a four-flush.”
Cates perhaps smelled something that wasn’t right and opted to call.
Cates did connect his king with the K river, however, the board was reading a flush. If the action went check/check the pot would have been chopped up.
Chappe-Gatien opted to check and Cates won the leveling war after he jammed for 875,000 and got a fold for what was more than two-thirds of his opponent’s stack.

The Kings of Tallinn normally takes place in February. However, due to the COVID restrictions in Estonia at the time, Olympic Park Casino temporarily postponed it until later in the year.

PokerListings to Cover the 2022 Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event
While PokerListings will provide highlights from the side events, its primary focus will be the highlight of the festival in the Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event. The event boasts two opening flights on Sept. 15 at noon at 8 p.m.
The four-day Texas Hold’em tournament provides plenty of play thanks to its amazing structure featuring hour-long blinds throughout the event. The only exception to this rule is for Day 1b, which still boasts very reasonable 30-minute blind levels.
Players start with a healthy stack of 30,000 in chips with both of the opening flights featuring eight blind levels. Players can not only re-enter an unlimited amount of times during each of the opening flights but also during the first two blind levels of Day 2 on Sept. 16.
Players finding a bag on Day 2 will compete for two more days until a winner is crowned on Sept. 18.
The Kings of Tallinn began in 2015 when Estonian poker hero Ranno Sootla defeated a field of 140 entries to win the €37,330 top prize. Since then, Johan Creutz, Matias Knaapinen, Juha Helppi, Vitalijs Zavorotnijs, Johan Karlsson, and Claudio Di Giacomo had their moment in the sunshine after winning the Kings of Tallinn Main Event from 2016 to 2021.

Team Challenge Creates a Vibrant Environment
One of the things that sets the Kings of Tallinn apart from other festivals is its Team Challenge. Players join in groups of four, and if they can’t find a team they can get assistance from Nousiainen and her team.
A total of 2% of the prize pool qualifying tournaments (events with at least 12 players that aren’t satellites) will go into the Team Challenge prize pool. As you can imagine, this will add up quickly with the top two teams awarded 75% and 25% of the prize pool respectively.
The Kings of Tallinn schedule has something for everyone. Not only is there a full catalog of no-limit hold’em events, but players that enjoy other formats will be pleased to learn there is something for them too with plenty of events in other poker variants as well.
Two events PokerListings will keep their eyes open on is two of the new events on the schedule in the €250 Deep Stack Mystery Bounty on Sept. 12-15 and the €660 Mystery Bounty on Sept. 16-17. American Corey Wade is the latest player to etch his name on the Mike Sexton World Poker Tour (WPT) Champions Cup after defeating a field of 1,165 entries in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Tampa $3,500 Main Event for $471,686.
Wade agreed to a three-way deal with Fred Paradis (second – $441,686) and Brock Wilson (third – $411,678) before defeating Pardis en route to the title. Wade not only collected the biggest cash prize but also was awarded airfare, accommodations, and entry into the December WPT World Championship at WynnLas Vegas, which guarantees a $15 million prize pool, the largest in live tournament history.

The WPT Seminole Hard Rock Tampa $3,500 Main Event attracted 1,165 entries to generate a $3,728,000 prize pool. The five-day event was scheduled to award the top 146 players at least a min-cash worth $5,950. However, two players were ousted on the money bubble with Matthew Wantman and Kent Buckingham finishing in 146th and 147th places to split a min-cash for $2,975 each.
Final Table Action
According to the WPT Blog, The action was down to a final table of just six hopefuls on the fifth and final day with Steven McKoy entering the action as the table captain followed by Wilson and Paradis. Eventual winner Wade began with the second lowest stack but still had room to maneuver with 33 big blinds.
Wilson was hot out of the gate to take a significant chip lead and it appeared that Wade would become the first player on the rail when he got his ace-nine in against the tens held by David Tuthill. Fortunately for Wade and unfortunately for Tuthill, the ace-nine got there after an ace spiked the flop. Paradis also almost didn’t make it to the podium as well as he had to fade Wade’s flush draw with one card to come on the river with his top pair to survive and double up.
While there was tons of action throughout the final table, it took 131 hands for a player to hit the rail and what a cooler it was. Tuthill got it in with kings like just about every poker player would and was unfortunately up against Paradis’ rockets. No miracles came and Tuthill was the first casualty at the final table while Paradis snagged the chip lead. Shortly after, the action was down to just four players after Seth Berger unsuccessfully jammed ace-eight into Wade’s queens.
During four-handed play, Paradis was able to pad his lead to have nearly half the chips in play. Wade cut into the lead after eliminating the final day chip leader McKoy in fourth place when his sevens won a flip against king-queen.
Rare WPT Deal
It is almost unheard for there to be a deal at a WPT Main Event, but one did occur at the Main Event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tampa. According to WPT rules, deals are prohibited if the tournament is a part of a streamed broadcast or filmed for later broadcast. As neither of these was in place, Wade, Paradis, and Wilson were able to negotiate an official deal to flatten the payout structure. Of course, the winner was still incentivized as there was money still to be played for along with the last player standing walking away with an entry and travel expenses to the WPT Championship at the end of the year along with bragging rights.
Wilson was the first player to benefit from the updated payout structure. He jammed with nine-seven suited on the turn with third pair and didn’t improve on the river after Wade called with king-queen for top pair.
Wade began the 75-hand heads-up marathon with an approximately 3:2 chip advantage before extending it further. It wasn’t all smooth sailing for Wade as Paradis snagged a commanding chip lead after getting paid off with a flush to double his stack.
The action was hot and heavy and Wade managed to snag the chip lead back before doubling Paradis again. Wade maintained his composure and held triple the stack of Paradis when the final hand took place.
Wade jammed with queen-nine suited and Paradis called with ace-five, a quite normal scenario when playing heads up in a Texas Hold’em tournament. The stacks would have been close to even if the ace-five held and it seemed likely it would after an ace spiked a flop. Unfortunately, a queen was also on the flop and a second queen came on the river in a dramatic fashion to secure the win for Wade.
A huge congrats to Corey Wade for his WPT victory and joining the likes of poker legends Doyle Brunson, Gus Hansen, and Daniel Negreanu as a member of the exclusive WPT Champions Club. Best of luck to Wade in the WPT Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas!

Ontario, the biggest province in Canada, regulated poker has gotten off to a slower start than expected due to the licensing regulations. Another popular tournament found in many of the global series held on PartyPoker’s main client are the Weekender tournaments, and Ontario players will be pleased to see them in this schedule. A Series That Marks the Beginning
