Fortune Wheel Spin to Win

The Festival Online is in full swing on 888poker, with six-figure guaranteed events running and exciting PKO and Mystery Bounty formats for all to enjoy.

There’s no better series to gear your bankroll for – maybe you can be like ‘Trendki11’, who finished 21st in the $109 $100,000 GTD Mystery Bounty Opening Event for $291.72 – and a bounty of $10,000 courtesy of the Mystery Bounty.

If you want to battle against some of the best-known online pros or streamers, like Vivian ‘Vivi.888.’ Saliba and Ian ‘Simpioni’ Simpson, this is the online poker series for you.

There will be over $1 million in prizemoney throughout this series, with huge-field events and a 2-day PKO with flights running around the clock almost every day – giving every online poker player a chance to jump into The Festival Online.

888poker’s Vivian ‘Vivi.888.’ Final Tables The Festival Online PKO

As The Festival Online Begins to ramp up, we have seen the 888poker stream team begin to get into the action.

Vivian ‘Vivi.888.’ put on a great showing during the PKO Turbo Deepstack $15,000 GTD, where she made the final table before busting – the Brazilian Pot-Limit Omaha specialist took home  $134.35 in prizemoney and $150 in bounties.

The champion would be found in Finland, as ‘BrutalSat’ scooped the lion’s share of prizemoney and bounties with their Festival title. They received a massive boost to their bankroll in the form of $1,586.08 in prizemoney and $1,956.61 in bounties – we’re sure they will use this to fire more Festival Online events over the next 30 days.

Canada and the UK had strong showings at the final table, with 2nd placed ‘faraxd511’ and 3rd placed ‘alqsxr’ winning $2,148.52 and $1,441.50 for their deep runs in the PKO Turbo Deepstack event.

The UK saw ‘WalnutPix’ and ‘ReJamit’ come in 5th and 6th, respectively, with the winnings being $1,092.28 and $755.18 for these places.

Jordan Banfield Bags For Day 2 of the $150,000 Texas PKO Event

We saw two flights happen yesterday for the juiciest event on the Festival schedule – The 8-Max Texas PKO, which has a prizepool of $150,000. The first Day 1 flight happened in the evening and saw 64 runners, including 3rd place finisher ‘8ate8’, who cashed for $17,799 in the $120,000 Mystery Bounty Opening event last month, ‘BrutalSat’ who won the PKO Deepstack Turbo, and 888poker stream team member Jordan ‘BanfieldJ’ Banfield.

In the end, it would be the 888poker streamer who would bag and tag on the online felt out of those notable players – Banfield took $178.13 in bounty money from the flight as he advanced to Day 2.

In the second flight for the colossal PKO event, only ‘Getoverhere’, ‘pactamah23’ and ‘Blacklabs33’ would find a seat on Day 2 from 16 entrants.

More Flights, Freerolls, and Festival Online Events Coming

There are three more flights for Day 1 running today at 17:00, 19:00, and 21:00 GMT – a perfect spot for someone to win some bounties and bag a monstrous chip stack to battle with on the final Day 2.

You should check on The Festival Online schedule to see if you are among the 525 lucky invitees in an All-In Freeroll, giving away $3,300 in the prizepool!

All eyes are now focused on The Festival Online $40,000 High Roller – and there are so many ways for all players to get involved. You can find a $55 MEGASAT with 15 seats guaranteed for the High Roller, and you can find feeder satellites into this for as low as $5.50 or even free! Two freerolls will give away MEGASAT seats tomorrow, so don’t miss your opportunity for a vast spin-up.

Follow The Festival Online Action with The 888poker Stream Team

It’s safe to say that the 888poker streamers have been in the mix in The Festival Online. Whether it is Vivian ‘Vivi.888.’ Saliba is running deep in the opening Mystery Bounty or Josh ‘Josh Manley’ Manley and Ian ‘Simpioni’ Simpson are making final table appearances in other Festival Online events.

There is no better place to spectate The Festival Online than 888poker’s very own online stream team – whether you are watching the real-time tilts of Nick ‘eastyyy22’ Eastwood or seeing how Jordan ‘BanfieldJ’ Banfield maneuvers his Day 2 stack for a $150,000 guaranteed PKO, there’s poker entertainment for everyone during The Festival Online.

If you are looking to watch some online poker final table coverage, the 888poker home Twitch channel is the place for you. There will be commentary teams for each broadcasted event, with lots of interaction and poker chat throughout.

Some celebrations are more worthy than others, and while we could argue that we should all celebrate the wonders of real money online poker generally, there are special events that come along that are simply too good to miss.

One such is the 17th anniversary edition at PokerStars of their iconic Sunday Million fixture which, over the years, has paid out massive sums in prizes to many players. Having a weekly ‘regular’ tournament that guarantees a $1,000,000 prize pool is impressive indeed, but when this particular event kicks off on Sunday 26 March there’ll be even more to play for as the total amount of booty up for grabs will be a cool $7.5 million guaranteed, with the eventual winner picking up at least the $1 million that’s being set aside for the champion.

Sunday Million: A Brief History

Known to many as the Milly, the Sunday Million is, not surprisingly, a record-breaker as far as online poker tournaments go. Of course, over time, the tournament has undergone numerous changes and format tweaks as the landscape of online poker and players themselves have evolved. Perhaps the most significant move by PokerStars was switching to a progressive knockout format, given that bounty tournaments are all the rage nowadays (and rightly so).

Many a successful career began courtesy of the Sunday Million since its original launch in 2006. With the tournament being held every week during all these years, there have been countless winners pocketing life-changing sums. This is very impressive, of course, but there exists an elite group of 19 poker stars who deserve legendary status for winning the iconic tournament twice, including Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi, Rob “robtinnion” Tinnion and Paul “pvas2” Van Nunes. However, only one has managed to be victorious three times, namely Artem “veeea” Vezhenkov of Russia.

How to Qualify

There are many ways to get your hands on a $215 ticket for this megabucks event (including simply buying in). As well as standard satellites, which have buy-ins from Freerolls to $22, there are the following options:

Fast Track

The Fast Track route – which boasts $75,000 in added value – gives players a chance to qualify for as little as $0.50 thanks to a flexible Steps set-up that works as follows (note that you can simply buy in at any Step!):

  • Step 0: $0.50 Spin & Go >
  • Step 1: $1.50 Sit & Go >
  • Step 1.5: $5 Sit & Go/MTT >
  • Step 2: $20 MTT >
  • $215 Sunday Million entry

Spin & Go

Special edition Sunday Million Anniversary Spin & Go tournaments will be available right up until the event itself begins, with prizes ranging from satellite tickets and cash to $215 tickets. Again, you can start your quest to poker glory from just $0.50 if you so wish, and there’s a range of buy-ins to suit every bankroll.

For example, this is how the prize probabilities break down in a $4 buy-in Sunday Million Anniversary Spin & Go:

  • $1,000,000 (plus $100,000 each for runners-up): 1 in 10,000,000
  • $215 Sunday Million Anniversary entry: 25,000 in 10,000,000
  • $20 satellite ticket: 1,250,000 in 10,000,000
  • $11 satellite ticket: 3,008,336 in 10,000,000
  • $8 cash: 5,716,663 in 10,000,000

Good luck at the tables, and have fun!

Even those poker fans with little experience of real money online poker know that Sunday – far from being the traditional day of rest that many choose to have – is the most ‘important’ day of the week in pokerland. People tend to be busy for one reason or another during weekdays, and other stuff tends to happen on Saturdays, so it’s logical that online poker operators make a special effort to spice up proceedings on Sundays, which for most is the last day to have fun before another week begins…

Americas Cardroom are doing their bit by having a special Supersized Sunday on 26 March, and it’s going to be an action-packed day even at Sunday standards! Amazingly, there’ll me more than $2,000,000 up for grabs in guaranteed prize pools, which means that ACR is adding over $900K to the usual guarantees over the six tournaments.

To make sure that this big money collection of online poker tournaments isn’t accessible only to those with big bankrolls, Supersized Sunday will feature a range of buy-in levels.

Poker Time for All

In a nice touch that emphasises the global poker approach at Americas Cardroom, not only all bankrolls will be catered different for, but different time zones around the world will be considered, too.

The headliner event of Supersized Sunday is a $1 Million GTD tournament that starts at 12:05pm ET and which will run out to a conclusion to avoid players having to find extra time to compete.

Good luck at the tables, and have fun!

Like all major sporting events, The Festival Online at 888poker features so many mouth-watering tournaments that poker fans are chomping at the bit to get involved, with plenty of opportunities for all those players who dream of online poker tournament success to fight for their share of the $1,000,000 in total prize money.

It should be pointed out that this series, which culminates when the final table of the $200,000 GTD Main Event is streamed live on 888pokerTV on 11 April, is different from the norm in that it’s the online manifestation of The Festival Series which, since launching in 2021, has become an increasingly popular and successful player favourite. One reason for this is the player-friendly atmosphere combined with casino-related competitions (such as Blackjack tournaments!) and a packed schedule of non-poker activities that could range from wine-tasting to axe-throwing…

We’re also proud to have our very own PokerListings Championship at The Festival in Malta (15-21 May)…

Mystery Bounty Tournaments

Mystery Bounty tournaments are fast becoming real money online poker’s latest big thing, and The Festival Online is addressing demand by including this entertaining – and potentially very profitable! – take on the bounty tournament format in the packed schedule.

As the name suggests, in a Mystery Bounty event the booty you pick up for eliminating an opponent is hidden right until you knock them out, thus adding even more excitement to an already thrilling ride.

Of course, this element also means there’s an even bigger chance of landing a big payout just for eliminating a single player, and this is what happened in the $109 buy-in Mystery Bounty Opening Event which, incidentally, had 868 entries and broke the $100,000 guarantee to finally pay out $107,200

The final table details (below) will serve to whet your appetite, but note that the recipient of the most cash in this tournament didn’t even make the top 20 places! Trendki11 finished an anyway impressive 21st for $291.72, but managed to pocket the amazing $10,000 Mystery Bounty, too, eventually winning a tournament-topping $10,515…

Don’t forget that there are great value qualifiers running throughout The Festival Online series!

Bankroll management can be a tricky subject for many, especially for those who are entering the world of real money online poker for the first time. Moreover, for the vast majority of poker fans – particularly recreational players – the initial honeymoon period needs approaching with caution, as there’s nothing worse than not being able to fulfil whatever promise we have by trying to run before we can walk. Many a budding poker career ended almost as quickly as it started – you’ve been warned!

With this in mind, new players (every player, in fact!) would be foolish not to take advantage of Freeroll tournaments which, as the name implies, are tournaments that cost literally nothing to play but offer prizes in various forms that help players build their bankroll. Some mistakenly avoid Freerolls and impatiently aim too high, endangering their bankroll in the process, but it’s important to realise that you can significantly grow your bankroll by making the most of Freeroll opportunities.

For their part, partypoker have a brand-new initiative aimed at attracting and new players and supporting existing hobbyists who simply don’t have the luxury of throwing their money around, giving everyday players a chance to form a firm foundation by generating a healthy bankroll. This is how so many poker legends started their careers and, thanks to partypoker’s latest efforts, you could be following in their footsteps.

Round-The-Clock Freerolls!

The manifestation of this leading poker room’s player-friendly promotion is in round-the-clock Freeroll tournaments, which literally sees players able to take advantage of free-to-enter tournaments that start at the stroke of midnight and continue with successive editions at 01:00, 02:00, 03:00 and so on until 23:00, then kick off again at 00:00 as the next day begins!

Even if you’ve never played a single online poker tournament in your life until now, diving into these Freerolls is the perfect way to hone your game in readiness for the quest to come.

And, of course, there are all the prizes that you can potentially rack up, with more than 5,000 to be claimed daily. Prize pools differ from Freeroll to Freeroll, ranging from $50 to $200 and paying out a total of $2,500 every single day!

Note that while these are single-entry tournaments, there’s nothing to stop you playing in more than one simultaneously, so if you feel like trying out multi-tabling (at no expense whatsoever), here’s your chance… Also, it’s possible to jump into battle at any point during the first 60 minutes of play.

partypoker dollar.

All prizes will be paid in partydollars (P$) – partypoker’s super-flexible virtual currency that can be used in to buy-in to any poker game, either in full or in part. This includes Multi-Table Tournaments, SPINS tournaments, Sit & Go games and at Texas Hold’em and Omaha cash tables. (P$ are valid for 12 months, and cannot be sold, exchanged, refunded or transferred).

Good luck at the tables, and have fun!

As opening days go, the first tournaments of the Grand Prix Spring Edition at partypoker couldn’t have gone any better. Given the explosive start to the series, which continues until 3 April, we can expect a fortnight of the best action that real money online poker can bring!

First came the $33 buy-in Opener PKO, which had a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool. However, after generating 3,224 entries, this sum was obliterated, with a total of $96,720 eventually being paid out! All of the 479 starters who progressed to Day 2 earned at least a min-cash, a prize which, by the time the final table was reached, had increased to $533 – plus, of course, any bounties that these surviving players had racked up by this stage. In fact, all but one of the players who had battled it out to the final table earned a four-figure prize for their efforts.

Going into the crucial heads-up phase, each of running4guns and iva76 was guaranteed at least a whopping $5,600 from the main prize pool, with a hefty final bounty payment of nearly $5,000 still up for grabs! Eventually, running4guns emerged victorious, their reward being $10,454 to add to the accolade of becoming the first Grand Prix Spring champion. $6,351 was the cool amount received by the runner-up – quite a return on the initial $33 investment!

Meanwhile, the $5.50 buy-in Mini Opener PKO saw a similar story unfold, with a massive 3,594 entries creating a $17,970 prize pool! This time, Raven0216 was the champion, taking a $1,041 prize for first as well as an extra $855 in bounties. Just missing out on the title was k0rnqka, but the combined payout of $1,127 will no doubt have provided ample compensation.

Imagine Winning More Than 200 Times Your Buy-in

A win of 200 times their buy-in is exactly what happened to PuruRasta after they took down the $1.10 buy-in Micro Opener PKO event for a tasty $266 to add to their new champion status. There are online poker tournaments and there are online Bounty tournaments and, together, this winning combination makes for the gift that keeps on giving…

Don’t Miss Out on the Early Bird Offer

The Early Bird offer at partypoker has even more zing at the moment because it’s being tied in with the Grand Prix Spring Edition! By registering before the start of selected tournaments you could win your buy-in back as a free ticket, so signing up early to the Sunday Party or Sunday Carnival between now and 2 April just got even more interesting, as these events are part of the Grand Prix Spring Series. If you finish up to 50 places outside of the money, you’ll be given your entire buy-in back as a free tourney ticket! And there’s more – all Early Bird tournaments will have a bigger-than-usual prize pool during the series!

Good luck at the tables, and have fun!

“A rolling stone gathers no moss”… such is the motto that the best online poker providers have to live by, the world of real money online poker leaving no room for complacency.

WPT Global as much as any of the big players has a reputation to uphold, being the online platform of the mighty World Poker Tour (WPT). Don’t be fooled by it’s being in existence since only last year – this site already gives online poker tournament fans opportunities to qualify for major live events around the globe, as well as access to a host of Texas Hold’em and Omaha cash tables, Sit & Go games and more.

Today we’ll update you on the latest developments at this popular, player-friendly poker room.

Software Updates

Software is one of many features that we tend to take for granted, despite it being the foundation of the whole online poker experience. In response to the high demand of their players, and in line with the demands of the modern game, WPT Global are introducing multi-table cash games on their desktop version this month, allowing those who can’t get enough poker to play on up to seven tables at the same time. Note that this is dependent on your device; cash tables are capped at two with Pace Tables, while Poker Flips are capped at one each.

Add to this the introduction of PLO4 cash and there’s something for everyone at WPT Global!

The Sunday Slam

WPT Global’s newest multi-table tournament product, the Sunday Slam consists of three tournaments that take place every Sunday, with three different buy-in levels to suit all bankrolls. The events are the Sunday Slam, Big Sunday Slam and Mini Sunday Slam. You will be able to qualify for peanuts thanks to special Sunday Slam satellites that will run all week. In fact, a mere $5.50 satellite provides a direct route to the $110 buy-in Sunday Slam, and there are even two Freeroll satellites per day awarding $5.50 tickets!

WPT Global rocket.

Multi Table Tournament (MTT) Leaderboards

To celebrate the launch of the new Sunday MTTs, WPT Global is rewarding MTT players via weekly Leaderboards, with points being awarded based on finishing position, and prizes ranging from tickets to cash prizes!

The promotion will run from 00:00 every Monday until 23:59 on Sunday evening (timing equates to the start time of the tournament).

Stay tuned to PokerListings for further updates…

Finally, to make life easier for our poker-loving community we search for the best online poker bonuses and offers so that you don’t have to! Add more poker rooms to your go-to places, and have fun at the tables!

All good things come to those who wait, and if you’ve not yet been lucky enough to travel to one of the exciting, innovative The Festival Series events, they’ve teamed up with 888poker to bring you an online version in the shape of The Festival Online – and, after the first $750,000 instalment went down so well last year, a massive $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize money will be won by the end of this series, which runs until 11 April.

It’s simply too good to miss, and with very low buy-ins and a packed schedule of qualifiers that’s affordable for all, you don’t need to be an online poker tournament specialist to take part. Indeed, if the opening day of The Festival Online is anything to go by, expect a fun-filled real money online poker experience.

Sunday’s four Series openers promised $170,000 in guaranteed prize money but, after the dust had settled, a total of $190,960 was paid out. The $109 buy-in Mystery Bounty Opening Event, for example, attracted 868 entries and saw the $100,000 guarantee surpassed, with $107,200 won! Note that you’ll be able to qualify very cheaply for the upcoming big events (see below), so you could be collecting your share of juicy prize pools as the series continues!

Big Bounties in Mini Event!

The Mystery Bounty Mini Opening Event is a typical example of this player-friendly series. The $22 buy-in tournament adopted a (Mystery) Bounty set-up with a difference: split into two phases, the first had no bounties for elimination, with the second stage of the tournament randomly assigning the remaining players mystery bounties which were revealed on their being eliminated; the highest mystery bounty was $2500! The $25,000 guarantee was broken and $27,460 was paid out, with the winner pocketing a cool $2,556 for emerging victorious in a field of 1,043 entries. A player who didn’t even make the top 20 finishers still managed to bag a whopping $2,667 in bounties!

Now that you’re suitably inspired to join in the festivities of The Festival Online, here’s the schedule for the opening week:

There’ll be another opportunity to throw your hat in the ring of a mystery bounty event on Thursday in the form of the $55 buy-in Mystery Bounty 8-Max, which has a $20,000 guarantee.

Note also that it’s not just the traditional Texas Hold’em format that will feature in The Festival Online (which is known for catering to all tastes), with Tuesday’s $55 buy-in PLO Rebuy & Add-on $4,000 GTD event being just one of numerous tournaments scheduled for Omaha fans.

So – don’t forget to take advantage of the packed qualifier schedule, and once you’ve been bitten by the bug, you might well want to join us at The Festival proper’s next stop in Malta (15-21 May), where you can take part in our PokerListings Championship

Good luck at the tables, and have fun!

It’s good being spoilt for choice! Every day, poker fans across the globe can take their pick from the varied delights that the phenomenon that is real money online poker has to offer. It could be argued that those players who while away the hours on Texas Hold’em and Omaha cash tables don’t really have to think much before sitting down to play as they tend to stick at roughly the same stakes of the same format. Sit & Go games, meanwhile, have various but limited formats from which to choose.

Online poker tournaments present a different and potentially more subtle prospect in that, although they might share the same fundamental foundation, there are numerous differences. Blindly diving into play is perhaps what many do, but it’s worth delving a little deeper into the detail so that we invest our time and money in tournaments that best suit us, and which offer the best conditions.

Certainly, the top online poker operators are well aware of why it’s important to find the right balance of the key factors, and the experts at partypoker do exactly that. One such fixture is The Predator which, as online poker tournaments go, is a model upon which other sites would do well to base events.

As partypoker deservedly boasts when introducing The Predator, this $22 buy-in tournament – held every night from Monday to Saturday at 18:05 GMT – ticks the right boxes. Chiefly, these are an affordable buy-in, a five-figure guaranteed prize pool and a player-friendly blind structure that has been devised to allow a finish at a respectable time yet without compromising the average stack size. In fact, due to the 8-minute clock The Predator usually ends at around midnight.

partypoker Daily Legends.

Poker for Everyone

Indeed, as one of partypoker’s most popular mid-stakes tournaments, The Predator fits perfectly into the Daily Legends stable of regulars that forms part of one of the veteran poker room’s various offerings. Note that it’s also totally accessible to all bankroll types, with $0.11 buy-in Feeder qualifiers among the countless Daily Legends satellites that run literally around the clock.

Boasting a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool every time, The Predator tends to pay out around $1,500 to the eventual victor, which is a very decent return on for the modest buy-in level(s). Another very attractive feature that’s perhaps a major draw nowadays is that it is a Bounty tournament – more specifically, a Progressive Knockout (PKO). If at first you don’t succeed, worry not – one re-entry is permitted before the end of the tenth level. Incidentally, here is another example of the planning that has gone into putting together this tournament – allowing just one re-entry makes for a more level playing field because the players with bigger bankrolls cannot buy their way to an advantage. Poker, after all, should provide everyone with the same fair conditions and opportunities…

Top Tips to Crush Online Poker Freerolls

  1. Play a Tight & Aggressive Style – In a freeroll’s earliest stages, it will be a wild showing. Random bets, weak ranges, and lots of chips will fly around. If you stick to a strong range and play your spots aggressively, you will maximize your chances of success.
  2. Stay Patient – It is easy to get frustrated if you are “card dead,” You might go for an unnecessary bluff or raise. You should remember that chasing hands is the most significant leak in weaker players – wait for the right moment.
  3. Get Aggressive Late – When the money bubble approaches, players battling in a freeroll will want to see some monetary return for their time – this is where you can really maximize an advantage. By raising and being aggressive, you will get more over-folds and win pots uncontested.
  4. Use Your Breaks – When the five-minute break comes on the hour, it might seem easy to sit around until your tournament restarts – this would be a big mistake. You should stretch, go to the bathroom, get a hot drink, and, if possible, get some fresh air. Tournaments can be long and grueling, so handle your mental fatigue.
  5. Do Not Get Attached to Outcomes – Freerolls are high variances due to how crazy they can be. It might be frustrating when you make the right play, get unlucky, and bust. This is poker, so stay the course, keep making the right moves, and you will get your due reward eventually.

With the ink nice and dry on their renewed partnership with PokerStars renewed partnership with Formula One’s Oracle Red Bull team the big daddy of online poker wasted no time jazzing up their offering. From Texas Hold’em and Omaha cash games to online poker tournament fans and more, there’s something for everyone, and this article will focus on how players can take advantage of some extra spice in Spin & Go games as part of the Formula One theme.

Over $7,500 in Prizes to Be Won Every Day

If you’re a regular or have never even played them before, it’s time to put your foot on the throttle and dive into exclusive Spin & Go Races which, until 21 May, will see PokerStars paying out more than $7,500 in prizes every day!

How It Works

  • Don’t forget to Opt-in via the Spin & Go Lobby, Leader Board Lobby or even at Spin & Go tables. Once you opt in you’re good to go for the duration of this promo.
  • Play Spin & Go games to battle your way up the Leaderboards. Each day, you can have five attempts at each Leaderboard buy-in level, with buy-ins ranging between $1 and $25.
  • Save your fuel! Win a Spin & Go and you won’t lose any fuel, finish second or third and you’ll lose 20% and, if you run out of fuel, your attempt will be over…
  • Track your progress. See how you’re doing in the Spin & Go lobby.
  • Win prizes! Finish in a top tier position and your prize will be credited via a Chest.

Thanks to there being Leaderboards across a range of buy-in levels you can keep hitting the tables in a quest to become a champion over multiple Leaderboards.

PokerStars Spin&Go formula one.

Just as the Formula One demons of the race track in the Oracle Red Bull Racing team compete in multiple races during a season to reach the higher championship places, so can would-be demons of the virtual poker tables stake their claim for success during this great offer, racking up Leaderboard points as they take part in their own competition in the shape of Spin & Go races.

Watch Your Fuel!

Again, just as happens in Formula One, you must remember to keep an eye on your fuel! You start each Leaderboard attempt with a full fuel gauge, and can maintain a full tank by winning. However, by coming second or third your fuel level will drop, and should you run out altogether it’s game over for that attempt. You’ll then be called in for a pit stop, with your fuel bar reset in readiness for your next attempt. Keeping your fuel level high gives you the best chance of a podium finish and a tasty prize.

The Polish Poker Days have come to an end. The event attracted an amazing number of 3735 entries and this was even a bit more than the previous edition at the end of last year (3630). It resulted in a prize pool of €380,970, setting the top prize at €64,540, virtually doubling the guaranteed prize pool!

In the end it was Kacper Kuzior who upheld the honor of Poland and was allowed to take the trophy home. He left no stone unturned at the final table, beating Tomasz Lewandowski (no relation to robert) in a heads up battle for the win. Less than a day later, it’s the turn of the Cyprus Series of Poker, an event with a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000. Yes folks, it’s a good time to be in Bratislava at Banco Casino right now. If you’re in the area, now’s your chance!

Cyprus Series of Poker in Full Swing

Cyprus Series of Poker Main Event Trophee.

With six flights still remaining in the next couple days, it was a rather slow start with only 231 entries in total so far in the first flights of the Cyprus Series of Poker Main Event. With a buy-in of €220+€30, and a guaranteed prize pool of €250.000, it is being promised to a value town these days in Bratislava as the current overlay is extraordinary. The staff of Banco Casino already had a busy year in 2022, imagine how they end up during such great poker events, one after the other. Besides the Main Event, the High Roller also knows his first starting day today. With €50.000 Guaranteed, and a buy-in of €700+€70, it is expected to be crowded as well.

We will keep you posted about the results of this event here at PokerListings.

Did you know?

Banco Casino is located in the capital of Slovakia. With an airport in Bratislava, they are easy to reach from all across Europe. However, Vienna (Austria) is just about 30 to 40 minutes away by shuttle bus or taxi, and this airport is even better connected to the rest of Europe.

Kuzior Doubles His Live Tournament Earnings

Kacper Kuzior from Poland managed to win the Polish Poker Days and completely destroyed the final table to take home the first prize and the honorable trophy. By finishing second during the German Poker Days in Rozvadov earlier this year, he had an amazing start of the year, resulting in a cash of €45.650. The young gun from Poland topped the field this time, securing €64.540, for his biggest cash in live tournaments to date. It wasn’t the only final table he made in Bratislava, as he managed to become 6th in the €225 Mystery Bounty. We are certain to hear more from him in the upcoming future, hands down!

Now underway, the Moneymaker 2.0 promo at Americas Cardroom is simply too good to miss, and a great illustration of how lucky modern day poker fans are that real money online poker continues to thrive.

Chris Moneymaker made history and became a poker industry marketer’s dream in 2003 when he completed the ultimate journey from satellite to champion in the WSOP Main Event. Now an Americas Cardroom Pro, the poker legend is the inspiration behind this latest large-scale online poker tournament fest.

Moneymaker 2.0 – How It Works

Every Saturday (at 1:30pm ET) until 27 May – as well as Sunday 28 May – ACR will hold special Leaderboard Tournaments that each have a buy-in of $86 in honour of Chris Moneymaker, this exact amount being the initial outlay on his successful WSOP quest. The Final is a two-day event that will be held 4-5 June.

The prize pool generated from these tournaments will be distributed as follows:

  • 50% from EACH Leaderbaord Tournament will be paid out to the top 12% of participants for that day.
  • 50% of the prize pool generated from ALL Leaderboard Tournaments will go towards the prize pool for the Final Tournament on 4-5 June.

A guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 awaits the players in the Final, with at least $100,000 going to the eventual winner! As an added incentive, the victor will be crowned the Next Moneymaker and will also receive $15,000 towards an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas!

If you want a chance to literally follow in the footsteps of the great Moneymaker you’ll need to have earned points in at least one of the Leaderboard Tournaments – note that players cannot buy in directly to the Final tournament.

How to Qualify for the Final

All points earned throughout the Leaderboard tournaments are cumulative and, when the dust has settled, a player’s total points earned are converted to chips (1 point = 1 chip). The more points you rack up during the Leaderboard phase, the more chips you start with.

How You Earn Leaderboard Points

Playing in a Leaderboard Tournament earns 2,000 points. Winning a tournament nets 15,000 points, with 10,000 for second, 7,500 for third and all the way down to 1,000 points for those finishing 17-24.

Moneymaker 2.0 Leaderboard.

Note that there are many satellites available throughout the promotion, so you can win your way to the $86 buy-in Leaderboard Tournaments for as little as $4.40! Once in, you’re allowed one re-entry only per tournament.

Final Tournament Rewards

A worthy feature of the Moneymaker 2.0 promo is the generous prize distribution. This is because the $100,000 for the champion will be set aside from the overall Final Tournament prize pool, with the remainder then being paid out to the top 12% of the field as per usual. In this way, the top finisher will not only receive the normal percentage payout for winning a tournament, but also $100,000, as well as the $15,000 bonus added by ACR for the trip to Las Vegas – this promotion really is a no-brainer!

Meanwhile, you’ll find a host of the latest online poker bonuses and offers in our dedicated info section.

Good luck at the tables, and have fun!

Today’s article features an interesting example of how the world of real money online poker has effectively come full circle. First there was traditional poker (think cowboys in a dusty saloon in the Wild West), then came the online version and, over the years, the two combined to give us the best of both worlds.

It’s normal nowadays for online poker operators to funnel players from their virtual rooms to actual bricks & mortar venues so that those who are used to online poker tournaments can play a live equivalent.

However, it’s quite unusual to see it done the other way round, which is exactly what is happening with The Festival Online (19 March to 11 April). Here we have a partnership between The Festival Series and 888poker that brings the magic of this very popular, player-friendly live pokerfest to the internet! And to the tune of $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize money!

Following on from last year’s opening success, The Festival Online promises to deliver yet again, but with the already impressive $750,000 being boosted to $1,000,000 across a packed schedule of 20 tournaments that features something for everyone, which is what The Festival ethos is all about.

The poker-for-all approach on which The Festival prides itself will be replicated in the online manifestation at 888Poker, with a variety of formats to choose from, and some mini buy-ins, too (from $1). Whether you’re a recreational player or a seasoned grinder, there’s something for everyone, and you might even find yourself staking a claim to fame with coverage by PokerListings and Thefestival.com, with the Main Event final table being streamed across the ether of the worldwide web…

Last year’s eventual $215 buy-in Main Event winner – Pbustos14 of Argentina – not only tasted glory, but also pocketed a cool $26,552 for finishing atop of a field that attracted 673 players (and 140 re-entries) and paid out a total of $162,600 in prizes.

Grab your chance by taking advantage of a range of satellites on host site 888Poker that make The Festival Online accessible to all.

It’s always a good idea to expand horizons, and The Festival Online will be doing that between 2-9 April, when they roll out events for players in Ontario.

Fortunately for poker fans, there’s so much competition between operators that real money online poker never stops evolving. Texas Hold’em and Omaha cash players find this or that tweak to their favourite game and format enhances the overall experience and Sit & Go games, for example, continue to excite.

Meanwhile, online poker tournaments are always a great source of entertainment as well as offering us countless opportunities to boost the bankroll. But here, too, there’s always room for new ideas, and the increasingly impressive Juicy Stakes Poker has come with an interesting set-up in the shape of their March Madness promotion.

Inspired by the NCAA basketball tournament, Juicy Stakes Poker has taken a successful formula and adapted it to poker to feature a bracket system consisting of five rounds of competition leading up to the final championship.

The phases are Round of 32, The Sweet Sixteen, The Elite Eight, the Final Four and the $15,000 Championship Final.

Round of 32

The Round of 32 runs from 20-28 March, and it won’t cost you a penny, with 600 tickets to The Sweet Sixteen round being given away. Generate 10 FPPs to earn a ticket, up to a maximum of 12 tickets, while taking part in the numerous tournaments available increases your chances of winning more tickets to use in the upcoming round.

The Sweet Sixteen

This phase takes place from 29 March to 2 April – note that the time allotted for each round decreases, so don’t hang around! 400 tickets to The Elite Eight round are available to the winners. As well as picking up tickets via Gold Chips tournaments, Ticket Tournaments and Freerolls, generating 100 FPPs is enough to bag a ticket (maximum 6 tickets per player).

The Elite Eight

The Elite Eight period is 3 March to 6 April, and there are 100 tickets being awarded to the round winners to The Final Four. Racking up 300 FPPs secures a ticket, with the max being four. There will be only eight tournaments offered over the three-day period.

The Final Four

As the excitement mounts further, The Final Four runs 7-8 April and consists of four exclusive tournaments, starting at 2:30pm and 8:15pm Eastern. This time, the top 10 winners from each of the Final Four tournaments will qualify for the $15,000 Final Championship!

$15,000 Championship Final

Congratulations are in order when you succeed in reaching the $15,000 Championship Final (9 April, 4pm ET). Being among the last 40 players still standing means you’ll receive a unique March Madness goodie bag that includes sporty merchandise! Then comes the $15,000 in guaranteed prizes, with a cool $5,000 going to the eventual winner of this exclusive event!

Juicy Stakes Poker.

So, there you have it. Juicy Stakes Poker’s March Madness really does live up to its name, with a tasty prize pool, exciting tournament format, special merchandise and a host of games for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss out!

The Festival offers one of the best avenues for poker fans across Europe to get a taste of what a colossal tournament series is like for a fraction of the cost. Through the satellites Unibet is now running, you have a perfect avenue to win your travel expenses, hotel stay, and poker seat for a tiny amount.

Win a €1,600 Festival Package on Unibet This Week

This week provides the perfect opportunity to win a €1,600 poker tournament package!

If you go to Unibet, you will see satellites running on Thursday, March 16 at 20:00 CET with a buy-in of €250, giving TWO €1,600 packages to The Festival in Malta.

You can even find qualifiers toward this satellite, starting at the low buy-in level and working your way up, meaning you can win your Festival package for Malta for only a couple of euros!

If you win your package on Unibet, you will be rewarded with the following:

  • €550 Festival Main Event seat, allowing you to win a five-figure score in one of Europe’s most action-packed tournaments.
  • €200 in travel expenses so you can get to the sunny Mediterranean island of Malta.
  • Five nights at the luxurious and comfortable Mercure hotel, with breakfast every morning for two people.

This Thursday could reward more packages if the satellite gets plenty of entrants, but two Festival packages are guaranteed.

Reserve Your €550 Festival Main Event Seat

If you want to make your own travel and hotel arrangements in Malta, there are satellites made for you – for just €50, you can enter a one-seat guaranteed tournament, which is taking place on Tuesday, May 21 at 21:00 CET.

How to Win Your Festival Package

When you participate in these Festival satellites on Unibet, you will want to maximize your chances of winning your seat in Malta. We’ve put together some strategies and advice for playing in Malta.

Be Tight & Aggressive

The difference between satellites and normal MTTs is that in satellites, you need to survive long enough to win. So you should have a tighter range, play your spots more aggressively (less trapping, more equity realization), and avoid playing marginal or weaker hands OOP (out of position).

Exploit Bad Opponents

The tip above does not mean you should be overly tight. If you spot an opponent opening too wide, playing passively, or being generally weak, you should aim to exploit this by shoving or raising over them. Having an Ace-X hand is perfect for this, blocking his combos of solid hands and having equity in case of a disaster.

Always Adjust Your Strategy

The stage of the satellite and your stack depth will constantly change your approach. Early stages? You are trying to accumulate and build up your chip stack. Late stages and short? You need to look at the ICM and see if you can fold into a seat – if not, you’ll need to pick your moment and win chips. Mid-stages and deep? Use your stack to bully shorter stacks into folding.

Keep Your Focus

One of the most significant errors in a satellite can come from making a mistake due to a lack of attention. In satellite tournaments, you either win your seat or don’t. There’s not much to be gained from any payout structure, and if you make one mistake, you could torch a lot of EVs. So make sure you are always locked in while playing your satellite!

Utilize Suited Aces

Similar to how a pocket pair is not as good as a hand like Ace-Ten in a PKO, having a suited Ace is a better hand than a pocket pair. Generally, players are likelier to fold a low pocket pair, wanting to avoid risking their satellite life with pocket sevens, eights, or even nines. Use your fold equity and 3-bet and 4-bet jam your suited-Aces!

With partypoker’s much-awaited $450,000 Grand Prix Spring edition taking place from 16 March right through to 3 April, it’s time for everyone from newcomers and recreational players to serious grinders to dust off their virtual baseball caps and trendy shades, and make the most of what real money online poker has to offer.

As can be expected, partypoker continues to demonstrate that it’s possible to provide a series of online poker tournaments that features both generous prize pools and modest buy-ins. Indeed, as you’ll see below, there’s something for bankrolls of all sizes.

Three Tiers of Grand Prix Spring Main Events

You can make your bid for Main Event glory as soon as the series begins on 16 March. The buy-in is $55 yet partypoker have nevertheless tagged on a guaranteed $250,000 prize pool!

Meanwhile, you’ll find that running alongside the Main Event are two additional key tournaments in the shape of a fantastic value $11 buy-in, $50,000 GTD Mini Main Event and – impressively highlighting the accessibility of the Grand Prix – a $2.20 buy-in, $10,000 GTD Micro Main Event!

These three tournaments are all terrific value, of course, but just to make life even easier for you would-be poker gods, you can also get your hands on a seat via $0.01 buy-in Centroll satellites – yes, it could ‘cost’ you just one solitary cent for the chance to win big.

Player-Friendly Structures

Another nice touch is that it doesn’t matter which buy-in tier you choose, as you’ll still get to enjoy the same amazing structure used in the $250,000 guaranteed Main Event! Whether you play in the $2.20 buy-in or the Main Event proper, you’ll sit down with 100,000 chips with an 8-minute clock and Blinds and Antes starting at 400/800/100a.

Each Day 1 session ends when 15% of the field remains, and those players progress to Day 2 (20:05 GMT on April 3).Note that the reward for making Day 2 is that you’re guaranteed to win at least a min-cash for your efforts.

Omaha Events

The Grand Prix Spring edition at partypoker features more than Texas Hold’em tournaments, with plenty for Omaha fans to enjoy, too, including Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo events. The PLO PKO Championship events take place from 27 March to 3 April, with buy-ins of $33, $5.50 and $1.10 and $20,000, $5,000 and $1,000 guarantees. The PLO8 PKO Championships run from 20-27 March with buy-ins of $44, $5.50 and $1.10, and boast guarantees of $20,000, $5,000 and $1,000 respectively.

Between 15-17 March, Fintan is running special community games via his Home Game Club and, to keep it as bankroll-friendly as it gets, the tiny €1.10 buy-in means everyone can have a go. Finish in the top 10 in any of these tournaments and you’ll be invited to join the fun meet-up in Dublin.
