Phil Galfond may have ruled the weekend on PokerStars but Ilari Sahamies and 1-ronnyr3 both impressed on Monday.
1-ronnyr3, who is actually Swiss poker pro Ronny Kaiser, absolutely crushed the $100/$200 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max games that were running last night and finished with $371,093 in profit over 1,137 hands.
The former EPT Tallinn winner raked in huge pots versus some very tough opponents including Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen, Zypherin, Deldar182 and Sahamies. He also won over $100k from Sahamies heads-up but the Finn would make a full recovery.
Kaiser made up for a regrettable weekend that saw him win several hundred thousand off Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and then donate it all back to other players later.
One of the most active players on PokerStars, Kaiser is now up over $740k on the site this year.
Meanwhile Sahamies, who’s as swingy as they come, managed to drag in $125k on his “Ilari FIN” account on PokerStars.
Sahamies is still down $197k on the site but has made some excellent progress over the last 30 days with nearly $500k in profit.
Joining Kaiser and Sahamies at the top last night were alexeimartov (+89k), onehandturks (+$69k) and machado (+$40k).
Meanwhile Zypherin was easily the biggest loser last night as he dumped $178k into the 6-Max PLO games. With the loss Zypherin drops back into the negative after finally swinging into the black this last week.
Some of the other big losers last night included doncarignano (-$102k), Sauce123 (-$88k), Jeans89 (-$80k) and V_RouNder (-$61k).
Ilari Sahamies and Phil Galfond, who went toe-to-toe this weekend, took what was likely a much-needed break from the tables last night.
