Something about Australia seems to agree with Xuan Liu as the 888poker pro recorded another big score Down Under by placing second in the Aussie Millions $1,150 NLHE 6-Max prelim for $71,500.
In October Liu made a deep run in the WSOP APAC Main Event, which was also held in Melbourne, before falling in 31st place for $18,710.
Liu finally succumbed to Australian Sean O’Reilly in last night’s final table when she got unlucky with A-T failing to hold against O’Reilly’s K-2.
O’Reilly locked up $107,200 for winning the 6-Max event outright.
Here’s a look at the complete final-table results from the event:
- 1. Sean O’Reilly - $107,200
- 2. Xuan Liu - $71,500
- 3. Bobby Zhang - $52,500
- 4. David Urban - $41,000
- 5. Shivan Abdine - $30,500
- 6. Adam Jarvis - $20,500
Liu Hits $1.5m in Lifetime Earnings, Rudd Adds Another Win
Thanks to her second-place finish in the 6-Max tournament Xuan Liu climbed to over $1.5 million in lifetime live tournament earnings.
Despite a massive $600k score in the 2012 PCA and a third place finish at EPT San Remo, Liu is still awaiting her first major title.
Meanwhile Daniel Rudd, who won $770k in last year’s WCOOP Main Event, added another $31,690 in the $1,100 NLHE Shootout.
Although the English poker pro has plenty of big online scores it was one of his first major live tournament wins.
Here’s a complete look at the final-table results (*reflects three-way deal):
