Wynn Las Vegas clears the floor for poker tournament

The Wynn Classic is assuring players ultimate action and style at the Las Vegas casino's annual poker tournament firing up Wednesday.

The event runs Feb. 21 until March 11, and includes satellites to the main event as well as No-Limit and Limit Hold'em, Omaha and mixed games.

Deborah Giardina is slated to work as the director of poker operations while Dave Eglseder will act as tournament director.

A schedule of the Wynn Classic events is as follows:

  • Feb. 21 - Satellites begin
  • Feb. 22 - $500+$40 No-Limit Hold'em flight one
  • Feb. 23 - $500+$40 No-Limit Hold'em flight two
  • Feb. 24 - $2,000+$80 No-Limit Hold'em
  • Feb. 25 - $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold'em
  • Feb. 26 - $1,000+$60 Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Split
  • Feb. 27 - $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold'em
  • Feb. 28 - $1,000+$60 Limit Hold'em
  • March 1 - $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold'em
  • March 2 - $2,000+$80 No-Limit Hold'em
  • March 3 - $3,000+$100 No-Limit Hold'em
  • March 4 - $1,000+$60 Pot-Limit Omaha
  • March 5 - $2,000+$80 No-Limit Hold'em
  • March 6 - $1,000+$60 Mixed (H.O.S.)
  • March 7 - Super satellite day
  • March 8 - $10,000+$200 No-Limit Day 1
  • March 9 - $10,000+$200 No-Limit Day 2
  • March 10 - $10,000+$200 No-Limit Day 3
  • March 11 - $10,000+$200 No-Limit final table

All events start at noon and run for two days unless otherwise noted. The casino will also keep 3% of the prize pool to pay poker room staff a gratuity.
