WSOPC Heads to Rotterdam in August for First-Time Ever

The World Series of Poker is breaking new ground with a circuit stop taking place in Rotterdam, NL, this August.

The WSOPC series will take place Aug. 25-Sept. 2 with 12 gold ring events on the schedule. It’s the first time the WSOP has ever held an event in the Netherlands.

Both the winner of the WSOPC Rotterdam Main Event and the leaderboard winner will receive $10,000 tickets into the WSOP Global Casino Championship, which carries a guaranteed prize pool of $1m.

The WSOPC has been expanding exponentially over the last few years with 14 international stops in the most current season including ones in Portugal, Brazil, Australia, Morocco and France.

The series in Rotterdam will include a wide range of events with deep stack, turbos and six-max and re-entry tournaments.

WSOPC Rotterdam will most consist of No-Limit Hold’em tournaments but there will be PLO and Crazy Pineapple events to help satisfy those looking for something else.

Buy-ins in the Rotterdam series range from €440 all the way up to €3,500 for the high roller tournament.

The series will conclude with a €1,650 Main Event that runs from Aug. 29-Sept 2.

WSOPC Rotterdam will take place exclusively at the local government-run Holland Casino in Central Plaza.

The Netherlands is suddenly a very popular destination on the international poker circuit with the World Poker Tour set to return to Amsterdam for a Main Event from May 5-13, 2017.
