Close again, but no cigar for November Niner Matt Jarvis.

Members of the 2010 November Nine got back together this week, reuniting at the Foxwoods Resort Casino for a historic freeroll tournament.

In all, 30 players competed in the $15k freeroll inside the World Poker Tour poker room at the Connecticut casino, including the November Nine, 18 Foxwoods raffle winners, ESPN WSOP commentator Lon McEachern, ALL IN Magazine publisher Kasey Thompson and event organizer, poker pro, media personality and Foxwoods spokesperson Bernard Lee.

The event marked the first time any members of a World Series of Poker Main Event final table had reunited on the felt.

Each table in the tournament featured three November Niners and although the prize pool was quite a bit smaller than what the group had competed for in November, they juiced up the action making several last-longer bets.

Online poker pro Joseph Cheong was the first November Niner out, but Michael Mizrachi, Matt Jarvis and 2010 WSOP Main Event champ Jonathan Duhamel each made the final table.

Mizrachi bowed out seventh and while Duhamel placed fifth, Jarvis went on to face Rhode Island's Ben Hopkins heads-up for the $5k first-place prize.

A 26-year-old carpenter who won his raffle ticket into the event finishing seventh in an $80 turbo event at Foxwoods, Hopkins went on to book the win.

In the meantime, Jarvis collected on all the last-longer action, including a bet with Duhamel that will see the Montreal Canadiens fan forced to wear a Vancouver Canucks jersey at three events during the upcoming 2011 WSOP.
