WSOP Live! PokerListings Plans Extensive 2010 WSOP Coverage
The 2010 World Series of Poker kicks off in Las Vegas Friday and the content team at PokerListings has a plan to help you keep up with the action all summer long.
A team chock full of experienced reporters will hit the ground running in Sin City this week, aiming to bring you live updates and photos from all the major events, news as it happens all over the Rio and the entire city of Las Vegas and the most interesting and entertaining blog content you'll find coming out of the 2010 WSOP.
Plus, as always, the centerpiece of PokerListings' 2010 WSOP coverage will be its video content.
In 2009, PokerListings did away with traditional video coverage at the WSOP, debuting the critically acclaimed The Rail Rewind daily video show.
With the game's best pros, Las Vegas' hottest women and a series of often random and sometimes surprising WSOP faces attempting to read the day's top headlines on camera, The Rail Rewind provided a fun and informative look at the biggest news coming out of the 2009 World Series, filled with tons of laughs, interesting cameos and outrageous outtakes.
This year, Team Lead Matthew Showell says it only made sense to expand the format and give viewers more of what they loved about The Rail Rewind.
"The Rail Rewind was always about showing the public how much fun the players and our team were having at the WSOP, while getting all the critical information in their hands," he said. "But what we realized is that The Rail Rewind is a great segment, not a whole show. This year, we're giving viewers the whole show."
The Rail Rewind will be back in 2010, only this year it will be just one of several fun, informative, provocative and incredibly entertaining segments on PokerListings' WSOP Live!, a daily video show making its WSOP debut this weekend.
"Every poker site is going to have player interviews, daily recaps and bracelet ceremonies on video," said Showell. "But none will be more fun to watch than WSOP Live! We're going to capture all the excitement that is the WSOP and put it into the show every day."
In addition to WSOP Live!, the PokerListings video content team will be producing a number of TV-magazine style video interviews with the game's biggest names, Video Blogs with PokerListings' own pro bloggers and several recurring video segments guaranteed to make stopping by the site daily throughout the entire WSOP a worthwhile experience.
"In terms of content, both video and print, this is going to be our biggest WSOP yet," said Showell. "If you're looking for all the info from the World Series of Poker with a little Las Vegas lifestyle and a hell of a lot of fun thrown in, you've come to the right place."
The bottom line is that PokerListings will have comprehensive coverage throughout the entire 2010 World Series of Poker.
