1) Phil Galfond, Calvin Anderson, Tuan Le Headline 2-7 Triple Draw

Already stop the presses we have our first killer final table of the summer.

As you might expect a $10,000 tournament in a more obscure poker format has a way of bringing out the big guns and this year’s 2-7 Triple Draw didn’t disappoint.

The final table of seven players includes Tuan Le, Calvin Anderson, Maximillian Casal, Ismael Bojang, Phil Galfond, Rep Porter and James Obst.

It is, in a word: sick.

Too many great stories to list at that final table so be sure to check in at 2 p.m. to watch it unfold.

In other tournament news Minnesotan John Reading outlasted 1,436 players and won $252,068 in just one day of play in the Hyper Hold’em event yesterday.

Also, the entire final table took less than two hours!

2) Report: Mark Wahlberg Played 2015 WSOP

So according to the LA Times there have already been a number of celebrities play the 2015 WSOP including former NFLer Richard Seymour, actor James Woods and Mark Wahlberg.

Wait, Mark Wahlberg?

That’s the first we’ve heard of it and despite the 22,000+ players in the Colossus we have a feeling someone would have noticed Marky Mark.

We’re gonna go out on a limb and say the LA Times made a mistake or someone playing the tournament had the exact same name as the famous actor.

On the other hand Wahlberg did star in The Gambler this year so he might have picked up a little poker training somewhere along the way.

If you see Wahlberg be sure to let us know so we can ask him some really important poker-related questions like, “Is there gonna be The Happening 2?”

3) Merson Early Front Runner for GPI POY
