WSOP 2008 Day 16: Heating Up

The day has begun with action just as hot as the temperature in the room. The only tournament under way is Event 27, the latest $1,500 NL Hold'em, with a capacity of 2,700 entrants.

Players spotted in this event include Jonathan Little, Tony Cousineau, Ben Fineman, John Murphy, Devin Porter, Steve Sousa, Scott Clements, Jon Friedberg, Bill Edler Eric "Rizen" Lynch and EPT champs Tim Vance and Thang Nyugen.

Yesterday's bracelet winner Scott Seiver made an appearance, and a quick escape, busting out in the early rounds.

Right off the start players have been finding their way to the door. Jared "TheWacoKidd" Hamby and Alex Kravchenko are two more of the casualties to head out into the desert heat.

Joe Sebok got into the action getting it all-in early with A K against someone's Q Q. The board failed to improve Sebok's hand, and the kid got sent home.

Our live tournaments section will give you all the updates as they go down, including the illustrious $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha w/Rebuys tournament scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
