By Sarah Polson

World Poker Tour Enterprises, Inc. (WPTE) has teamed up with PartyGaming, Plc. which will now provide international television sponsorship for the WPTE's biggest shows.

The agreement includes sponsoring the World Poker Tour (WPT) Seasons 4, 5 and 6, and Professional Poker Tour Seasons 1, 2 and 3.

"We are pleased to be creating an alliance with a leading marketer such as PartyGaming," said Steve Lipscomb, WPTE founder and CEO. "This deal represents a win-win for both parties."

Lipscomb said the deal helps both companies' goals of expanding their international market and helps facilitate the growth of poker worldwide.

The deal not only gives the WPT brand use of PartyGaming's extensive marketing resources, PartyGaming will get exclusive in-show brand integration and association with the WPT for its poker site, PartyPoker.com.

PartyGaming has also made commitments concerning online satellites to tournaments and promoting the WPT Academy as part of the deal.

The financial terms of the agreement were not released in detail. The terms depend on the number of international territories contracted, the amount of branded integration within each episode and the number of episodes that air.
