WPT to roll out red carpet for Celebrity Invitational

This March, the World Poker Tour (WPT) will invite some of Hollywood's hottest celebrities to come out and play poker for their favorite charities during the Season 5 WPT Celebrity Invitational.

The last celebrity standing in the tournament will receive $10,000 for their charity. The winner of the tournament will receive $100,000 plus a $25,000 seat in the WPT World Championship in April.

This year the WPT is teaming up with The Creative Coalition for the fifth anniversary of the event. The coalition will also receive a $10,000 donation from the WPT.

"This strategic partnership with The Creative Coalition is truly an ideal step to elevate the event in our fifth anniversary season," said Steve Lipscomb, WPT founder and CEO.

Lipscomb continued saying that the company looks forward to working with and watching coalition in action as it is known for its amazing events and is a well-respected organization in the entertainment industry.

The Creative Coalition is a nonprofit, nonpartisan social and public advocacy organization in the arts and entertainment community. Its focus is to educate its members on issues of public importance as well as public education and arts advocacy.
