WPT adds members to management team

World Poker Tour Enterprises Inc. announced Tuesday it has added two key members to its management team on the online gambling and television fronts.

Andy Goetsch, former CryptoLogic vice president of poker software development, joins the team as the new executive vice president of online gaming. Rohin Malhotra comes from Fox Sports, where he was an executive advisor, and will take on the role of managing director - international sales and marketing.

"Andy and Rohin's incredible experience inside and outside of the poker industry are major assets that will complement the diverse professional background of the WPT management team," said Steve Lipscomb, WPT founder, president and CEO. "We realize that a healthy and successful business works from the inside out, which is why we continually focus resources toward hiring the best in the business so that we can remain the best in the poker industry."

Goetsch has prior experience working with the WPT as he oversaw the launch of the WPT's online gaming site on the CryptoLogic shared network.

He brings to the WPT 21 years of experience in strategic planning, technology, finance and mergers and acquisitions. On top of his business experience, Goetsch is also an avid poker player with gaming knowledge from playing in the online poker world as well as from doing some consulting for various Internet gaming sites.

In his role as executive vice president of online gaming, Goetsch will focus on developing the WPT's player base, liquidity and online gaming revenue. To achieve this, he'll be using the power of the WPT brand to create innovative marketing platforms and unique WPT offerings to attract and retain players.

Malhotra brings experience from Fox Sports, as mentioned; prior to that, he was the international marketing director and head of global programming for PartyGaming Plc. He also has experience working as senior director with MTV Networks.

As the WPT managing director - international sales and marketing, Malhotra will work to maximize the WPT content library across all television and multimedia platforms.

He will draw on his background in programming strategy and global distribution initiatives to achieve his goal of strategically distributing and utilizing WPT content in traditional and non-traditional media platforms.

At the same time, he'll be building the brand and translating the increased exposure into traffic on the WPT's online gaming site.
