WCOOP Event #13 announces final table results

The World Championship of Online Poker's (WCOOP) Event #13 began on Friday, September 16th at 3 p.m. (EST) and ended at 1:32 a.m. (EST) on Saturday, September 17th.

The Pot-Limit Omaha event offered a $250K guaranteed prize pool and a buy-in of $500 + $30. A total of 720 players registered for the tournament, increasing the prize pool to $360,000. Starting chip count for each player was $2,500 and a total of 63 places were paid out. The final table hosted a mix of international players hailing from Canada, Wisconsin, Austria, Washington State, Florida, the UK, Texas, the Ukraine, and Finland. Final table chip count and seat position was as follows at the start of play:

Final table competitors included European Poker Tour French Open second place winner colson10, and Austrian pro danube, who was a member of Team Austria, one of the four PokerStars World Cup of Poker teams that advanced to the semi-finals of the world-class event that was broadcast on The Poker Channel.

As final table play progressed, omaha kid bit the dust first, followed by bluemangroup, ZZSER, 1Ires, danube and bucksy. After a couple of hands, the three remaining players had relatively even stacks and decided on a chip-count deal, leaving $10,000 and the WCOOP bracelet for the first place winner. Chibbles was knocked out in third which left spawng and colson10 to battle it out heads-up for first place.
