WCOOP Day 5: Two Bracelets for the UK
Day 5 of the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker featured two wins for the UK and $1,275,000 in new prize pools created.
WCOOP numbers continue to smash guarantees as players from across the globe log on to PokerStars.com for a chance at the cash. Even displaced Americans get in on the action and come close to the winner’s circle.

WCOOP-12 - $215 NL Hold’em [Heads-Up]
Event 12, a $215 Heads-Up event, resumed play yesterday with 64 players left, all of whom had already made it well into the money.
With $75,616 on the line for first place, the final heads-up match featured two players from the UK. rickv defeated crossybig, ending the final with a AJ against A6 all-in pre-flop. crossybig took home just over $40,000 for his runner-up finish.
All told 256 players were paid in this event, sharing the $444,800 prize pool.
WCOOP-13 - $215 PL Omaha H/L [6-Max, 1R1A]
The United Kingdom notched its second WCOOP win of the day when Pandochat defeated 558 players to win this shorthanded Omaha Hi-Lo event.
Players had the option to purchase one rebuy and one add-on which, when added to the original buy-ins, boosted the prize pool to $223,200. That was up in a big way from the $125k guarantee PokerStars slapped on this tournament.
The final four players cut a deal and Pandochat went on to finish first and secure his first WCOOP title. He defeated madalain of Romania to do it.
WCOOP-14 - $265 NL Hold’em [6-Max, Knockout]
Event 14 attracted 3,568 players and after almost 20 hours of play just 16 remained, all of whom returned today to play down to a winner.
This shorthanded knockout tournament boasts a total prize pool of $713,600 and a bounty prize pool of $178,400. $50 will be awarded every time a player is eliminated.
At time of publishing just four players remain, led by Canadian player Hustlaaaaaa who has well over half the chips in play.
Notables cashing in this event included Team PokerStars Pros JP Kelly and Leo Fernandez, Jim “Mr_BigQueso” Collopy and Christina “lindeyloo22” Lindley.

WCOOP-15 - $215 Razz
799 players bought into this Razz event, besting the $125k guarantee and building a prize pool of $159,800.
American Jim “Mr_BigQueso” Collopy came painfully close to taking down his first WCOOP title, finishing second to Fred Brink of Denmark. Brink earned $29,962 and the WCOOP bracelet.
Collopy has been a regular at major final tables online and has over $1.7 million in earnings across all his known accounts.
Team PokerStars Pro Gearge Danzer finished 16th.
