WCOOP-30: $530 NL Hold’em [10-Max, Triple Shootout]
This triple shootout tournament began on Wednesday and played down to the final table which battled it out yesterday to decide a winner.
When we published our last WCOOP recap Olorionek from Poland was in the lead five-handed. He was able to ride that lead all the way to victory, earning $54,814 and the first of two back-to-back wins for Polish players.
A deal was struck heads-up with runner-up floebbi from Germany who pocketed $45,000.
Those prizes were thanks to the 645 players who entered this event.
WCOOP-32: $320 NL Hold’em [6-Max]
In another two-day event, yesterday saw the 10 players who survived Day 1 in this monster No-Limit tournament return to the felt with sosickPL from Poland going the distance to win his first WCOOP bracelet.
Amazingly, just one week ago Poland had never scored a WCOOP win. In the last week they’ve won three.
sosickPL earned $75,032 for defeating a field of 1,714. A deal was reached heads-up that saw eventual runner-up olegus_71 of Russia taking $71,000.
WCOOP-33: $320 PL Omaha [6-Max, 1R1A]
706 players got in on the Pot-Limit action in this tournament. Thanks to those buy-ins, 481 re-buys and 436 add-ons, the prize pool swelled to $459,900.
A deal was reached four-handed at the final table which saw eventual winner e1mdopp of Russia taking $78,504, defeating runner-up Machiavelli3 of Sweden who took $49,312.
2011 WCOOP Player of the Year leader Joel “2FLY2TILT” Gordon posted his fourth final table result so far this series, finishing fourth for $47,678.
WCOOP-34: $320 Triple Draw 2-7
It was another strong showing from Team PokerStars Online, as old-school internet grinder Shane “shaniac” Schleger won his first WCOOP bracelet and $21,771.
2-7 Triple Draw is a game that’s gaining popularity, evidenced by the 354 who were willing to kick in $320 for a chance to make what are, by traditional poker standards at least, complete garbage hands.
It was a pro-heavy field, with notable cashers including two-time WCOOP winner shaundeeb, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, Jim “Mr_BigQueso” Collopy, Chris “Genius28” Lee and Calvin “cal42688” Anderson.
