Team PokerStars Pro Noah “Exclusive” Boeken’s first WCOOP win highlighted a star-studded day for the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker.

Boeken wasn’t the only name pro posting big WCOOP results yesterday, however, as Canadian Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah took down his first title, and Shaun Deeb and Kevin MacPhee both made final tables.

WCOOP-26 - $320 Mixed Hold’em

841 players turned up to test their mettle in both the Limit and No-Limit formats of our favorite two-card poker game, dashing players’ hopes of an overlay and building a prize pool of $252,300.

Dutch pro Noah “Exclusive” Boeken outlasted them all and defeated a stacked final table to earn his first WCOOP bracelet and $44,480. Boeken defeated Germany’s gangst3rn1 heads-up to do it.

Finishing fifth was two-time WCOOP champion shaundeeb.

Also cashing in this event was recent WCOOP winner Big_Nemo, Team PokerStars Pro Marcin “Goral” Horecki and Keith “The Camel” Hawkins.

WCOOP-27 - $320 FL Badugi

Badugi is still a fringe game so it’s not surprising just 292 showed up for a shot at this WCOOP bracelet. But while the field may have been short, it was long on talent, as evidenced by the final table.

Canadian pro Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah finished on top, defeating former EPT Berlin champion Kevin “ImaLuckSac” Macphee heads-up to earn $17,082.

Leah has over $1.5 million in online poker earnings, including an FTOPS title worth over $111,000.

Also making the final table were Team PokerStars Pro Greg DeBora and former WCOOP winner Andrey “Kroko-dill” Zaichenko.

WCOOP-28 - $1,050 NL Hold’em

Event 28 absolutely smashed its $600k guarantee, attracting 1,146 and building a monstrous $1,146,000 prize pool.

It took more than 12 hours of play before action was halted on Day 1, leaving 65 hopeful players to return today to battle it out for the $206,280 first-place prize.

Leading the pack is 3P3NIPA from the Czech Republic. Also still is Canadian Will “molswi47” Molson, Adam “Roothlus” Levy, and Chris “Genius28” Lee.

Action will get back underway this afternoon and play will continue until a winner is decided.
