The Aussie Millions continues to play down to the main event with familiar faces peppering the winner's circle. Howard Lederer and Lee Watkinson have taken down recent events with many other pros making their moves for the money.

It took three events after Jimmy Fricke's win in Event 4 before another pro pulled off a win. In the meantime, Event 5, $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em, was won by Michael Pedley. He took home a top prize of $168,320 AUD.

Anna Wroblewski also made the final table in the event, and Kevin "BeLOWaBOVe" Saul cashed as well.

Event 6 saw local player Marlon Goonawardne conquer the $1,500 Bounty Event, but to get there he had to go through Max Pescatori, Tom "Durrr" Dwan.

Event 8 was the $3,000 Two-Card Manila Championship won by Atonis Kambouroglou to take home $27,000 AUD. Then Event 9 brought the popular $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em event.

Though only 27 players were willing to put up the buy-in for Event 9, the field was stacked. Tony G, Eli Elezra, Jeffrey Lisandro, Allen Cunningham, Andy Bloch and others all came to the felt looking to score.

Outplaying them all was none other than Howard Lederer to take home the $1.25 million top prize. He went heads-up against Mark Teltscher for the win, and Lisandro also cashed in fourth place.

Just a couple more events are left before the Aussie Millions main event begins. When it does, you'll want to stay glued to our Live Tournament Section for the latest and greatest live updates, photos and more.
