VIP Poker scores with Super Bowl freeroll
By Sarah Polson
Whether they're football fans or not, poker players are going to love the NFL's playoff season and the added cash it means at VIP Poker. The poker site is beefing up its weekly Sports Freeroll through Feb. 6 in honor of the Super Bowl.
Every Tuesday until Feb. 6, the weekly Sports Freeroll will become the Super Bowl Freeroll Challenge. The usual $500 prize pool will double to $1,000 Jan. 23 and 30, and on Feb. 6 it will be $2,000.
John Olsen, poker manager for VIP Poker, said the Super Bowl is an exciting event and the Super Bowl Freeroll Challenge is the poker site's way of creating some extra excitement and value for poker players around the big event.
The qualifications for the Super Bowl Freerolls are the same as the regular Sports Freeroll. Players have to make four sports wagers of $10 or more Friday through Monday and they'll get free entry into the poker tournament.
The top 10 players from the January Super Bowl Freerolls will also get automatic entry into the final $2,000 freeroll Feb. 6.
