Vince Neil to host "Off the Strip" charity poker tournament
By Lianne Elias
Rock legend Vince Neil of Motley Crue will be hosting "Off the Strip" on November 11 in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the T.J. Martell Foundation.
This inaugural Texas Hold'em charity tournament will take place at The Joint located inside of Peter Morton's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and will feature a collection of dancers from some of Vegas' hottest night clubs.
Players can buy-in for $500 + $40 to compete for the estimated $50,000 prize pool. Payouts will be awarded to the 10 final table finishers. Attendance is limited to 150 entrants. An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the tournament along with an auction. Guest passes will be made available to interested buyers not competing in the tournament.
All proceeds will be donated to the T.J. Martell Foundation via the Skylar Neil Foundation, which was established by Vince Neil following the death of his daughter from stomach cancer. Since setting up his organization in 1995, Neil has helped raise over $1 million for the T.J. Martell Foundation, a non-profit music industry organization funding research into the treatment of leukemia, cancer, and AIDS.
