The fifth and final installment in our series of easy poker games that are perfect for parties is called Slovak Double-Barrel.
This is the most fun game of the series but it's simple enough that everyone will be able to stay on track, even if they've had a few drinks.
Just like the other games in this series, this is a gambling-style game. Everyone pays an equal ante at the beginning of the hand and the player with the best hand at showdown wins the pot. There's no further betting during the hand like regular poker.
Every hand of Slovak Double-Barrel starts with each player getting four cards, two face-up and two face-down. It's really important to remember that no one can look at their face-down cards.
Now each player has the option of throwing away one of their face-up cards and replacing it by turning over one of their face-down cards.
Then the dealer deals the flop, just like in Texas Hold'em. Now everyone has another chance to throw away one of their face-up cards and replace it with one of their face-down cards.
Then the dealer deals the turn and river and the player with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot. If two or more players have the same hand the pot is split evenly among them.
