French poker pro Gaelle Baumann broke out on the poker scene in a big way this summer when she bubbled the WSOP Main Event final table and now she's in Malta showing the PokerListings Battle of Malta who's boss. Baumann finished Day 1a with 72,000 chips and event host Kara Scott speaks with her to find out how she did it.
Team partypoker ambassador, WSOP host, poker player and newlywed, it's amazing Kara Scott ever has time for an interview. PokerListings.com spoke to the former Battle of Malta host at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and according to Scott, the future of poker lies in big-field, low buy-in event. It's hard to argue with her considering the WSOP is currently hosting the enormous “Monster Stack” event, a new tournament this year with a $1,500 buy-in and a field of 7,862 players. Kara Scott is also looking forward to the WPT500 which is taking place at the Aria in Las Vegas July 4-9. With a tiny buy-in of $500, players will have a chance at part of a guaranteed $1 million prize pool. Scott is well-acquainted with big-value, low buy-in events having hosted the PokerListings.com Battle of Malta in 2012 and 2013. Unfortunately Kara will be hosting the WSOP Main Event at the same time as the 2014 Battle of Malta so she has graciously handed the microphone over to the new BOM host Maria Ho.

Tonight at the World Series of Poker Europe Daniel Negreanu made history by becoming the first player to ever win two WSOP Player of the Year titles, and he gave PokerListings.com an inside look at how it went down. Coming into the €25k High Roller Event Negreanu had one last chance to pull ahead in the POY race. He had to come eighth or better. We follow Negreanu on his quest and speak to him moments after he became the 2013 WSOP Player of the Year.
Daniel Negreanu is doing his thing at the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe, offering opinions and racking up chips. In our latest video interview from the WSOPE Main Event Kid Poker defends Scotty Nguyen's induction into the Poker Hall of Fame, tells where he thinks the WSOPE should go next year and explains the truth behind the Choice Center program many people have been labeling a cult.

Things got real last night at the 2013 PokerListings Battle of Malta VIP party and our video crew was there to catch it all on camera. The Dudesons, Puma Swede, Dan "Jungleman12" Cates and hundreds of poker players all got away from the poker tables to de-stress and enjoy a few adult beverages.
