Brian Hastings had the WSOP of a lifetime this summer in Las Vegas, winning two gold bracelets and finishing out the series with a 49th-place finish in the $10,000 Main Event. Hastings booked serious side bets on his performance at the WSOP and if his two bracelets hadn't already locked up wins in those bets, his deep run in the Main Event definitely has. Hastings told PokerListings he booked bets in the low to mid six figures and that with this latest finish he's made "pretty much a sweep." Hastings was poised to make a run at the November Nine but got unlucky to bust in a cooler with pocket kings against pocket aces all-in preflop. "No matter if I finish 40th or 1st I'm going to come out of this knowing I gave it my best shot," said Hastings.
