The 2013 World Series of Poker Europe is underway and we've got Liv Boeree and Jackie Glazier on camera to introduce the action. Both of them are still alive in Event 1, the Ladies Event, and both are fighting hard for their first WSOP gold bracelet. is providing official video and live coverage for the entire 2013 WSOPE in Paris.
Matt: Welcome to the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe. Today we're celebrating two firsts. It's the first time the WSOP has ever come to Paris and it's the first time they've ever had a ladies event.

Today we're kicking things off with the first ever WSOP Europe ladies event. It's the first of eight bracelet events. And even though it only got 65 runners, it was packed with big names. Seven players will get paid in this event with just over €21,000 up top, and the plan is to play down to a winner tomorrow.

Among the field was WSOP bracelet winner, Loni Harwood. She made three final tables at the WSOP in Las Vegas this summer, including the tournament she won. Right now, she's sitting third in the player of the year race. 888 poker pro Jessica Dawley took a shot at her first gold bracelet today, but went bust well short of the money in 34th place. French pro, Gaëlle Baumann, made a name for herself when she bubbled the 2012 WSOP main event final table. She's here in Paris trying to take down her first major title. And finally, EPT Sanremo champion, Liv Boeree, is here trying to get her hands on the second piece of her Triple Crown.

Liv: Yes, it's a small field. It's not an open field, and they're calling it a bracelet. I'm not going to complain, because it gives me a good chance to win a bracelet. And if I win it, I'm going to hold my head high and be like, "Yup, I won a bracelet."

Yeah, one of my biggest goals in my poker career has always been to win a Triple Crown. So I've got 1/3 of it done arguably people say the hardest leg. So if I can ship a bracelet right now, then I'm just a WPT title away. That's always been my goal in poker: win a Triple Crown and also be the first two-time EPT winner. I like setting goals. But, yeah, it would be absolutely incredible. That's why I'm here. That's why I hopped on the train today and left London to come and take the best shot I can at winning a bracelet.

Matt: Faring even better was another 888 poker master, Jackie Glazier. The Australian pro was the last woman standing in this year's WSOP main event and had a very close call with a gold bracelet when she finished runner-up in a 3K No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2012 series in Las Vegas.

Jackie: I'm really happy to be here playing the ladies event, and I knew it would be a smallish field. It is the first time it's been played here and a great opportunity for me to grab a bracelet. Winning a bracelet and regardless of the size of the field, it's going to be tough and it's something that is definitely on my bucket list. And I hope one day I do get there and I have a bottle chilling in my mini bar fridge at the moment just in case.

I think this World Series in Europe will be a great success, especially off the back of the EPT in London where a lot of players have camped for a longer period of time. So I think the numbers will be high and hopefully I'll get a great prize pool when I win it.
