UltimateBet will host the Style Lounge Celebrity Poker Tournament tonight which will bring celebrities and poker pros together to benefit The Creative Coalition, a nonprofit, nonpartisan social and political advocacy organization of the entertainment industry.
Several Team UltimateBet players will be in attendance, including Annie Duke, to host poker clinics and play in the tournament. The evening will also include a cocktail party hosted by Ellen Pompeo, from "Grey's Anatomy," Andre Bruagher, from the "Thief" miniseries, and Clifton Collins Jr., also from "Thief."
Several celebrity guests are already confirmed to attend including, DJ AM; Cheryl Hines, "RV"; Danny Masterson, "That 70s Show"; Fran Drescher, "The Nanny"; Jack and Kelly Osbourne, children of Ozzy Osbourne; Richard Schiff, "The West Wing"; Johnathon Schaech, "That Thing You Do"; Robin Tunney, "Prison Break"; Robin Weigert, "Deadwood"; and many more.
More than $50,000 in prizes have been gathered for the winners of the tournament. They include ten trips to Aruba, a seat in an all-star poker tournament courtesy of UltimateBet, a five-day and four-night all-inclusive stay for two at the Spice Island Beach Resort in Granada, and a private party hosted by The Viper Room. There is also merchandise ranging from sunglasses and handbags to jewelry and leather jackets from various companies.
The tournament is invite-only and proceeds will go to The Creative Coalition which brings together artists and entertainers to learn about pressing issues so they can pass on that knowledge and influence the community and nation. One of their goals is to present the creative community's views on issues by testifying before Congress, sponsoring awareness-building events, and actively participating in the Democratic and Republican conventions.
