After dominating the European poker scene for the past 12 months, it's no surprise players from the UK are up for a slew of European Poker Awards.

Nominations for 10th Annual European Poker Awards were released this week and it's now up to a panel of experts to decide who will walk away with a golden aces trophy from the awards presentation in Paris, France next month.

For the first time ever, a woman is up for Outstanding Tournament Performance honors as EPT San Remo champ Liv Boeree joins James Bord, Jake Cody, Fillipo Candio, Tobias Rinkemeier and David Vamplew in the category.

Boeree also finds herself up against Annette Obrestad for Europe’s Leading Lady honors.

Nominations for Player of the Year include Theo Jorgensen, Cody, Sam Trickett and Vladimir Schemelev, while online poker players Chris Moorman, Patrik Antonius, Mickey Petersen, Isildur1 and Andreas Torbergsen are up for Internet Player of the Year.

There will be a Lifetime Achievement Award announced at the presentation ceremony in Paris while Cody, Vamplew, Toby Lewis, Julian Herold and Fernando Brito vie for Rookie of the Year honors.

Finally, Jesse May, Tony G. and Anthony Holden are nominated for the Rob Gardner Memorial Award for the Poker Personality of 2010, while Marty Wilson of Matchroom Sport, Simon Trumper of Dusk Till Dawn, Thomas Kremser and Gerard Serra Retamero of TK Events and Kirsty Thompson of the EPT and UKIPT are up for Poker Staff Person of the Year.

The award presentations will take place at the Queenie restaurant in Paris Feb. 13.
