Two bracelets are big news at WSOP June 4th

Travis Johnson wins summer's first donkament.

Travis Johnson came to Las Vegas with $3,500 in his pocket but the 30-year-old bank underwriter will be leaving with a gold bracelet and $666,853.

Johnson outlasted Steve Karp heads-up in the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event, winning the final hand with A-Q to take his first Surinder Sunar, Tony Cousineau and John Kabbaj it's shaping up to be a stacked final table.

Event 11 - $2,000 No Limit Hold'em

Day 1 kicked off with 1,646 entrants, generating a prize pool of nearly $3 million.

Phil Hellmuth is still alive, as well as pro blogger and recent bracelet winner Jason Mercier.

Patrick Stemper is the chip leader heading into Day 2, which resumes Friday at 2 p.m.

The event is scheduled to play to a final table before crowning a champion Saturday.

Event 12 - $10,000 World Championship Mixed Event

The field in this $10k event was packed with big names, with Daniel Negreanu staying near the top of the chip leaderboard for most of Day 1.

The event will resume at 2 p.m. Friday and is scheduled to play down to a final table by the end of the night. The bracelet will be awarded Saturday.
