At long last the day is finally upon us.
Earlier today the U.S.-facing Ultimate Poker, out of nowhere, dealt the first hand of regulated real-money online poker in Nevada.
Now on one hand it seems a bit anti-climatic since people have played online poker in the United States since the early 2000s but this marks the first time the state government has officially given the green light.
It could be a game-changer and the poker industry has certainly taken notice with a wild flurry of activity on Twitter.
