2009-09-24CGebel,
The player is broken, but don't worry it's set to be fixed on Tuesday.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

2009-09-24Im sure your movies are good, but I have problems watching it. I have the latest adobe flashplayer and use both firefox and IE - and get the same result.
If I try to use fullscreen mode, pause and then start or fastforward the movie, it reloads and starts over from the beginning, in a small window.
Whats wrong? I really like pokerlistings and would like to watch theese movies, without the problems...

2009-07-16Thank you for all of your info. I am learning alot. I am semi retired and am trying to learn enough so I can make nice part time $ playing poker online. What is your suggestion for a game to play. It seems that everyone plays NL holdem should I think about omaha or stud. Thanks for everything.

2009-05-22You know you are probably right ; a value bet on the turn would be perfectly fine on the turn.
Especially with all the draws you can definitely expect to get called by worse enough to make it profitable.
You are also right about the chances of getting checkraised are fairly slim esp from the orignal raiser.
So yes, I will agree with you that a turn value bet is probably better.
Nice breakdown.

2009-05-22LOL... one thing I didn't expect to hear in this video was the phrase "The world is your oyster."
Anyway, I don't get why you are so worried about getting check-raised on the turn in the JJ hand. How often are they gonna check-raise you on a bluff here? How often are they gonna check-raise a weaker hand for value? I just don't see that happening very often. Add to this the chance of 2 guys hitting one of the 3 overcards or a flush on the river, which might as well just kill your action too, it looks to me like you have to bet the JJ for value. Why wouldn't they call a position bet with a small overpair? 2 more streets of value is probably out of the question but all things considered IMO you're much more likely to get value on turn than on river.
My favorite position is dominating.
