Touchdown4me sacks Bodog.com $100k win
By Erin Warner
Bodog.com player Touchdown4me was doing the victory dance after pairing a four on the river to win the poker room's weekly $100,000 guaranteed tournament Sunday.
Following 10 minutes of heads-up between Touchdown4me and well-known online player Joe "Dyzalot" Morneau, both players wandered into a hand pre-flop - Touchdown4me calling and Dyzalot checking - to see a Q-10-4 board.
Both men checked, but after turning a seven, Dyzalot bet $40,000; not to be outdone Touchdown4me popped it by $100,000, causing his opponent to push all-in. Touchdown4me called to reveal pocket kings to Dyzalot's 10-7.
And while the odds weren't in his favor, a four on the river brought Touchdown4me the best two pair and the $25,000 first-place finish at the tournament.
The final results are as follows:
| Place | Name | Prize |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Touchdown4me | $25,000 |
| 2nd | Joe "Dyzalot" Morneau | $14,000 |
| 3rd | WiCane | $9,000 |
| 4th | Nick "gbmantis" Niergarth | $6,500 |
| 5th | Upgrade23 | $5,400 |
| 6th | Ulven | $4,400 |
| 7th | ndrudy46 | $3,400 |
| 8th | justmissed | $2,400 |
| 9th | madogwtf69 | $1,550 |
After weeks of lackluster turnouts, the Bodog.com $100k event experience a slight boost in attendance numbers, with 839 entrants competing, up from 756 on the previous two weekends.
Nonetheless, this put Bodog.com on the hook for $16,100 to match the posted guarantee.
