Johnny Chan
By Sarah Polson
The World Poker Store is looking to expand and make a big impact worldwide in poker. To make that happen it has added several top poker pros to its advisory board including Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, Marcel Luske, Hoyt Corkins, Patrik Antonius and Liz Lieu.
These pros have agreed to make promotional appearances for the World Poker Store as well as advise it on current poker trends.
"We are excited and very pleased to be working with this stellar group of poker pros and look forward to their input and direction for the future of the company," said Chuck Chastain, World Poker Store CEO.
With players from all over the world with all levels of experience in the poker world, the company expects the advisory board will impact the growth of the company and the potential for worldwide expansion.
The World Poker store already has successful Bar Poker League branches in Minnesota and Florida with 23 other states in the U.S. where it is legal. The Bar Poker League runs free No-Limit Hold'em at the bar venues.
The company also works with charities, such as the Trent Tucker Foundation, to help set up poker fundraisers.
According to a press release, the World Poker Store's focus is to bring poker to the masses and to help raise awareness for charities. Having some well-known pros sign on to the organization can help the company tremendously with that.
In future tournaments around the world, Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, Marcel Luske, Hoyt Corkins, Patrik Antonius and Liz Lieu will be seen sporting the World Poker Store logo to help create more awareness for the company and poker.
