On March 8, poker players will be hitting the felt in Santa Clara to help raise money for the Leo Brien Foundation. Todd Brunson will be there to lend his star power and star play as the host of the event.

Todd Brunson won't be the only pro in attendance. Hoyt Corkins, Cyndy Violette, Mark Seif and Roy Winston have all confirmed they'll be participating. The tournament and other fundraising events for the day will be emceed by Matt Savage.

The poker tournament has a recommended donated buy-in of $300 and begins at 2 p.m. (PST) at the CMT Office Building in Santa Clara, Calif. There are also re-buys and add-ons available for $100. All proceeds will benefit the Leo Brien Foundation to help fund Camp Okizu, a retreat for children with cancer.

The Leo Brien Foundation was set up in honor of Leo Brien, a family man who lost his battle with cancer in June 1997. The non-profit organization in his name continues his spirit of charity work, including financial support for Camp Okizu.

Okizu is committed to supporting the Oncology and Siblings camping programs, which are the result of a collaborative effort of the foundation and the pediatric oncology treatment programs in northern California.

The specific purpose of the program is to operate a recreational therapy program for children whose families are affected by childhood cancer.

Other fundraising activities for the day include a silent auction and a live auction featuring poker memorabilia, an NFL jersey autographed by Joe Montana and limited edition Life's A Bluff artwork.

The day will start off at 9 a.m. with the Udayakumar Nguyen Charity Golf Match hosted by Matt Savage at Coyote Creek Golf Course in San Jose. The proceeds from that event will go to the Cancer Foundation.
