Titan rewards French, Italian players
By Sarah Polson
Titan Poker is setting its sights on some European players, putting France and Italy at the top of the heap for promotions this week.
For the first time, Titan Poker has set up a prize tournament series specifically for French and Italian online poker players.
The promotion started Aug. 21 and will run through Aug. 30 offering players from the two countries nightly tournaments with a $1+10¢ buy-in. The top three winners from each nightly tournament will be eligible to play in the Exclusive Laptop Freeroll Tournament Aug. 31.
First prize in the tournament will be a Sony Vaio laptop computer valued at $2,000.
According to Titan Poker, the French and Italian players constitute a significant part of the online poker room's player base.
"We want to reward these players for their continued loyalty with both cash and electronic prizes," said Robin Steele, Titan Poker manager.
Players outside of France and Italy still have plenty of opportunities to also cash in or walk away with big prizes at Titan Poker. The poker site regularly rewards players with guaranteed prize pools and seats to major live poker events around the world.
A case in point is Austrian player Michael Schwaiger. He recently won a seat in the Sun City Million Dollar Poker Tournament in South Africa, and he also won his way into the $2.5 million Guaranteed Tournament being hosted by the poker site in September.
Titan Poker has also sent players to the Aussie Millions, the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, and the Asian Poker Tour stop currently taking place in Macau.
