TigerGaming.com announced that it will sponsor a charity Texas Hold'em tournament Aug. 18 in Quebec to benefit the Brandon-Jonathan Teresi (BJT) Foundation. The grand prize for the tournament is a World Series of Poker Main Event package worth approximately $15,000.
The event will take place at the Riviera Réception and Congrès with the tournament beginning at 7:30 p.m. The player fee for the tournament is $150 in advance or $200 at the door and includes $1,000 in chips, cocktails and entertainment.
Players will also be able to re-buy at $30 for $1,000 in chips or during the break they can add to their chip stack by purchasing $3,000 in chips for $60.
The entertainment for the evening will include comedian Joe Cacchione as well as pampering and shopping for the ladies.
The BJT Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for research to find a cure for a rare condition called Mitochondria Disease that affects young children. The Foundation will use the proceeds from the event to benefit the Genetics Department of Sainte Justine's Hospital.
Along with their sponsorship of the event, TigerGaming.com is offering online satellite tournament for people to win a seat at the charity event. Staring July 17, $15 buy-in tournaments will run daily until Aug. 15.
