Three more winners at ECOOP III

Canadian Matt Kay made good at ECOOP III.
Europeans are coming out in record numbers to take part in the European Championship of Online Poker III, and three more winners were crowned over the last three days.
Day 4 of ECOOP III saw 420 players pay $200+$15 to get in on some Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo action, creating a prize pool of $100,000. Online player doesalrite was able to use his Hi-Lo skills to get the lion's share of that prize pool, taking first place for $25,000.
Meanwhile Day 5 featured some old-fashioned No-Limit Hold'em goodness, with 532 players getting their poker on. Tournament organizers guaranteed a minimum $350,000 prize pool but that was easily eclipsed as the actual prize pool was nearly $400,000.
Victory would go to Canadian Matt "ch0ppy" Kay, who won an impressive $97,770 for his poker heroics. Kay is perhaps best-known for winning the PokerStars.com Sunday Million on Jan. 7, 2007 for $201,000, so he is definitely no stranger to online poker success.
For those keeping track, Kay is yet another product of the University of Waterloo in central Canada. Scott Montgomery, Nenad Medic and Glen Chorny all hail from Waterloo.
Finally, Day 6 of ECOOP III was all about a European specialty - we're talking Pot-Limit Omaha of course. Although there were no Patrik Antoniuses or David Benyamines playing, there was $178,000 up for grabs - easily more than the $100,000 that was guaranteed for the event.
A total of 156 players came out for the event, and it was yet another well-known player who took it down. GUKPT winner Jeff "JaffaCake69" Kimber beat PieForYou in heads-up play to take down a cash prize of $46,000.
Today will see the biggest tournament yet of the ECOOP III as the $500,000 guaranteed $300+$20 is set to play out.
