The Sunday Scoop: PokerStars Sets the Pace

Full Tilt Pro Jon "PearlJammer" Turner came fourth in the PokerStars $109 Rebuy for $35,227.50 yesterday.

Once again, the PokerStars Sunday Million was the biggest online tournament on another busy Sunday.

A total of 8,776 runners logged on for a shot at Sunday Million glory, but it was 147_star who took the title and $258,194.60 without agreeing to a chop.

One of the early events of the 16th edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series almost outdrew the Million.

FTOPS XVI's seventh event, a $120+$9 No-Limit Hold'em Knockout event hosted by two-time WSOP bracelet winner Greg Mueller, drew 8,586 players, smashing the $800k guaranteed prize pool.

In the end, LuvYouLongTime shipped the $137,376 win and the coveted FTOPS Jersey.

The biggest names in the game were shut out of the two other FTOPS titles on offer Sunday and in many of the biggest online tournaments across the web.

However, Justin "JP OSU" Potter managed a fifth-place finish in the Sunday 500 on PokerStars to book a $25,418.25 score while Full Tilt Pro Jon "PearlJammer" Turner came fourth in the PokerStars $109 Rebuy to collect $35,227.50.

WPT title holder Vivek Rajkumar also made eighth in the Sunday Mulligan on Full Tilt, cashing for $5,598.60.

Finally, UB's $200K Guaranteed drew 1,036 creating a $207,200 prize pool.

POLIQUIN took the win and $38,500 after chopping second-place finisher JUSTAHOBBY in for $35,429.96.
